In the final round of the Data For Life 2023 competition, organized by Vietnam\u2019s Ministry of Public Security,<\/em><\/strong> Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, FPT IS Chairman and one of the judges, <\/em><\/strong>praised the practicality of technological solutions from competing teams and stressed the importance of “golden data mine” exploitation in socio-economic activities.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Data for Life 2023 competition was jointly held by the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) under Vietnam\u2019s Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam Television and VnExpress Newspaper. The competition aims to seek solutions that utilize citizen data, focusing on three pillars: digital government \u2013 solutions for effective public services; digital society \u2013 solutions for effective social security services; and digital economy \u2013 solutions for economic development.<\/p>\n

In the final round, that took place recently, 10 teams from different provinces and cities across the country made their cases for digital products and solutions in front of a panel of judges. Thanks to its accuracy and possibility for practical implementation, the Automobile License Plate Detection solution by Son La Provincial Police won the first prize with an award of up to VND 200 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS, commented that the competing solutions are highly applicable and address practical issues and bottlenecks in current social activities. \u201cThe competing solutions, in my opinion, have high quality and great potential. FPT IS wishes to jointly bring groundbreaking ideas into practice and utilize data to remove blockage”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participating in the discussion session themed “Data for Life and Technology Solutions” within the event\u2019s framework, leaders from Vietnam\u2019s Ministry of Public Security and representatives of leading technology companies shared their views on the importance of using data to solve socio-economic problems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Colonel Vu Van Tan – Deputy Director of the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order under Vietnam\u2019s Ministry of Public Security commented on the implementation of 43 models in Project 06: \u201cThe biggest gain made after two years of implementation of Project 06 (Project for Development of Applications of Population Data, Electronic Identification and Authentication for National Digital Transformation in the period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030) is creating and using data to simplify administrative procedures for citizens. The Data For Life competition will be a bridge to put \u2018Made in Vietnam\u2019 data application products into practical use.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, FPT IS\u2019s representative, said that FPT IS is one of the long-term partners who has been working closely with Vietnam\u2019s Ministry of Public Security in both the Data For Life competition and realization of Project 06: \u201cOur products and services are capable of serving 30\/43 utility models under Project 06. For example: Anti-fraud Solution for Digital Identity Verification (FPT.IDCheck) adopted in diverse fields such as banking – finance, insurance, real estate…; a comprehensive digitalization platform for testing and evaluation in centralized online exam model Khaothi.Online; digital citizen application FPT.dCitizen, remote signing solution FPT.eSign, etc. FPT IS empowers provinces and cities to unlock and exploit the potential of data, as well as change the way the government and citizens connect, to ease and smoothen public services and activities.”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOrganizations and businesses need to standardize and develop data strategies, laying a solid foundation for data potential utilization, simplifying administrative procedures, and improving public services provided by state agencies to people and businesses. At the same time, it is necessary to conduct in-depth analysis to support the Government in state management; proposing welfare policies in the fields of insurance, healthcare, education, etc., for maximized use of accurate, sufficient, clean, live data, promoting the development and progress of society”, Mr. Hoa added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, FPT IS\u2019s Chairman, emphasized that FPT IS is willing to cooperate with the Vietnamese Government to realize Project 06.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

FPT IS has put various models into practical application and achieved positive results: Model 2 \u2013 Automation of Public Administration Center via Kiosk; Model 8 – Deployment of chip ID card authentication solutions at notary and authentication offices; Model 16 \u2013 Deployment carried out at business establishments with additional requirements for security and orders; Model 21 \u2013 Centralized online exam authentication via chip ID card verification platform; Model 25 \u2013 Local Government\u00a0Service Platform (LGSP); Model 42 \u2013 Provincial Security Operations\u00a0Center (SOC)…<\/span><\/p>\n

Models under Project 06 have been deployed by FPT IS to various provinces and cities such as Khanh Hoa, Hue, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Nam, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFPT IS will constantly strive to offer quick, effective and reliable transactions between the Government, people and businesses through employment of technology.
