Aiming to become a sustainable software service provider, FPT Software recently signed a contract to deploy the VertZ\u00e9ro Carbon Accounting Solution developed by FPT IS, which certifies FPT IS’s leading expertise and enormous market potential in the ESG segment.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

With its goal of becoming a sustainable development enterprise, FPT Software has officially cooperated with FPT IS, a subsidiary of FPT Corporation, and adopted the VertZ\u00e9ro Carbon Accounting Solution developed by FPT IS. This is a pioneering step in the billion-dollar company\u2019s commitment to transparent emissions reporting across all of its branches in 30 countries, fulfilling the requirements of sustainable development in the global technology supply chain. Additionally, it affirms that \u201cMake in Vietnam – Made by FPT\u201d ESG solutions like VertZ\u00e9ro are capable of helping businesses and organizations meet green standards in different countries and continents.<\/p>\n

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Khai Hoan \u2013 Deputy General Director of FPT Software, Mr. Tran Dang Hoa \u2013 Chairman of FPT IS, Mr. Chu Khanh Hoa \u2013 Director of FPT IS Global Sector, Mr. Pham Tuan \u2013 VertZ\u00e9ro Product Owner, and the project teams from both companies.<\/p>\n

FPT Software chose VertZ\u00e9ro Carbon Accounting Solution to handle its entire inventory process: Collect, systematize and automate carbon accounting activity data corresponding to the field of activity; Identify emission sources and factors to ensure global standard coefficients; Calculate emissions in the company; Support planning emission reduction strategies and targets for each subsidiary\/location according to the company’s development strategy. The solution\u2019s goal is to assist FPT Software in proactively carbon accounting in 3 scopes, connecting and synchronizing data from 30 countries, and setting standard emission factors which can be customized for each region. VertZ\u00e9ro is designed to satisfy global standard frameworks for emissions reporting and greenhouse gas removal such as ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, and other standards.<\/p>\n

In 2023, FPT Software hit the revenue milestone of USD 1 billion, making its parent company, FPT Corporation, the first tech firm in Vietnam on the list of global billion-dollar IT companies. The earnings were yielded in major markets including Japan, the US, and Asia – Pacific with a growth rate of over 30%. In particular, the Japanese market alone saw a 54% increase thanks to its demands on digital transformation. Currently, FPT Software are offering technology services to more than 1,000 global customers, including the Top 100 on the Fortune Global 500 list.<\/p>\n

To increase its participation in the world’s technology supply chain, FPT Software needs to quickly join and lead the journey to build a green supply chain. Today, global regulations and standards for sustainable development such as GRI, SASB, CBAM, IPCC, etc. are driving international businesses, especially in Europe and Japan, to pay attention to transparency in emissions reporting. Consequently, establishing a system that allows monitoring data related to the sustainability of the supply chain and planning a roadmap to mitigate carbon footprints will be a prerequisite competitive edge that helps gain more trust and opportunities from major global partners.<\/p>\n

Leaders from FPT Software and FPT IS signed a cooperation agreement to deploy VertZ\u00e9ro solution developed by FPT IS.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mr. Tran Duc Tri Quang \u2013 Chief Data Officer of FPT IS stated: \u201cCarbon accounting is of growing concern to businesses of diverse sizes and types. As a technology company, FPT Software’s operations are currently managed by an information system, which greatly helps to optimize time and synthesize accurate data sources for emissions inventory.
