Signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between FPT IS and Oxford University Press<\/em><\/p>\n In their cooperation, OUP will provide standardized educational content sources, grant course evaluation certificates, and offer consulting support on educational content and quality management, while FPT IS will develop and integrate educational content into its Meduverse software, increase the adoption of emerging technologies, carry out the product\u2019s technical operations, promote product growth, and boost product expansion to satisfy the demands of both Vietnamese and other neighboring countries\u2019 markets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In the near future, Meduverse plans to incorporate the <\/span>Family and Friends<\/span><\/i> 2nd Edition (International edition) into the product’s learning program. <\/span>Family and Friends<\/span><\/i> is one of Oxford University Press’s best-selling series. The publication has now sold more than 1 million copies in Vietnam, and is widely used in countries in the region such as Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n OUP is a department of the University of Oxford (UK), currently one of the largest university publishers in the world. OUP publishes thousands of new publications in more than 100 languages annually. The publisher\u2019s offices are present in 50 countries with approximately 5,000 employees worldwide. Meduverse is an educational platform combined with a virtual universe developed by FPT. The combination of education and technology (AI, AR\/VR…) enables users to enjoy new and interesting virtual reality activities while gaining useful knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n Leveraging on the versatile contents in Meduverse, combined with Oxford curriculum customized to align with Vietnam\u2019s educational program, the solution promises to help students to study in line with educational programs through gamification tailored for each age group. FPT IS plans to launch the Meduverse platform on mobile devices in the near future.<\/span><\/p>\n Cooperating to make Meduverse a pioneering platform for gamified English learning<\/em><\/p>\n At the event, the British Ambassador stated: \u201cThe year 2023 is a very special year for bilateral relations between Vietnam and the UK, as we celebrate 50 years of establishment of diplomatic relations. Our bilateral relations have truly transformed over the past half century. In particular, educational cooperation has become central to the relationship between the two countries. I highly expect that the two parties will combine their comprehensive potential in technology and education, co-creating digital education solutions that meet international standards to cater for the learning needs of Vietnamese and global students.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Ms. Sue Trory – Global Content Director, OUP expressed: \u201cFPT IS\u2019s sharing of their new steps and plans for revolutionizing education through digital transformation really inspires me. The cooperation will aid in the realization of our vision – making Meduverse the number 1 Edtech solution in Vietnam and Top 10 in Southeast Asia”, Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS affirmed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Students experience learning on Meduverse<\/em><\/p>\n The cooperation model between the FPT IS and OUP follows the educational technology (Edtech) trend that the world and Vietnam wish to keep up with. Currently, Vietnam is in the top 10 countries with the fastest growth rate of educational technology platforms globally. EdTech in Vietnam is growing at an astonishing rate, reaching about 20.2% per year in the period from 2019 – 2023 (according to Kepios DataReport 2022).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Previously, in 2023, OUP joined hands with FPT Schools in the Oxford Quality program. The project’s goal is to provide quality English teaching and learning programs that follow Oxford international standards.
