Recently, FPT IS and FPT Smart Cloud jointly organized the workshop “Business Resilience and Continuity <\/b>\u2013<\/i><\/b> Risk Management Strategy and Effective Operations\u201d, aimed at co-strengthening enterprises\u2019 information security. The event was joined by representatives, including CFOs, CMOs, COOs, IT Managers, and Regional Managers, of more than 40 businesses.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, Ms. Bui Nguyen Phuong Chau <\/span>\u2013 <\/span><\/i>FPT IS Chief Operations Officer stated: \u201cThe digital economy boom has significantly enhanced the role of technology in smoothening business operations and creating new competitive advantages for companies. It, however, also entails information security risks as cyber and ransomware attacks become increasingly sophisticated. Through this workshop, FPT wishes to share our knowledge, solutions, and experience to help organizations and businesses proactively protect their data, meet the latest security policies, as well as operate safely and sustainably in a digital environment.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the IBM\u00ae\u202fCost of a Data Breach 2023\u202freport, the global average cost of a data breach is USD 4.45 million. The four most breached industries include Finance <\/span>\u2013<\/span><\/i> Banking (14%), Services (12%), Technology (11%), and Industrial Production (11%).<\/span><\/p>\n

Presenting the topic “Data Security in the Digital Age <\/span>\u2013 <\/span><\/i>Risks and Solutions\u201d at the event, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong <\/span>\u2013 <\/span><\/i>Senior Consultant of Information Security, FPT IS, gave this assessment: \u201cCyberattacks are currently taking place on various environments, targeting both traditional On-Premises systems and Cloud-based services, such as Private Cloud and Public Cloud. Owing to its simplicity and effectiveness, phishing remains one of the most popular and dangerous methods of attack. As cyberattacks are increasingly larger in scale and becoming more complex, businesses and organizations are facing tough challenges in protecting their data and systems. In addition, damage from cyberattacks is also on the rise for small and medium-sized businesses.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong presented the topic “Data Security in the Digital Age \u2013 Risks and Solutions\u201d at the event.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Accordingly, the FPT IS expert advised companies to focus on three key factors to ensure data security: people, processes, and technology. The application of data security solutions, as a result, needs to tackle companies\u2019 major problems, including defense capacity improvement; proactive detection and prompt handling; effective data management and safe product development; risk mitigation and compliance; and information security awareness enhancement.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the goal of co-fighting cyber security fraud with organizations, businesses, and banks, FPT IS has been developing an ecosystem of security solutions, forming a closed circle to fully protect the digital assets of organizations, companies, and individuals participating in transactions in the digital environment. Key solutions in FPT IS\u2019s ecosystem encompass the FPT.EagleEye solution suite (including Managed Security Operations Center \u2013 FPT.EagleEye mSOC, Managed Detection and Response Solution\u2013 FPT.EagleEye MDR, PCI DSS Consulting, Assessment, and Certification services, Penetration Testing services \u2013 FPT.EagleEye Pentest, Proactive Phishing Awareness Training service \u2013 FPT.EagleEye Phish-Training) and Anti-fraud Solution for Digital Identity Verification \u2013 FPT.IDCheck.<\/span><\/p>\n
