Recently, Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency, Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Park Management Committee, together with FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) and Dell Technologies have jointly organized a Digital transformation seminar themed “Digital transformation in manufacturing in the new era: when Automation combines AI\u201d for FDI enterprises.<\/b><\/p>\n

The seminar aims to accompany the leaders of Da Nang city to support FDI organizations and enterprises in accessing effective digital transformation solutions, turning information technology into a competitive advantage in order to reach out to the world. Besides, FPT IS and Dell Technologies will help businesses formulate their digital transformation roadmap in accordance with global technology trends, focusing on adopting automation solutions into manufacturing, identifying goals, orientations, and methods of adopting information technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

FDI enterprises have been making important contributions to the socio-economic development of Da Nang. By October 2023, the city records 1,045 FDI projects with a total investment capital of over 4.2 billion USD, an increase of 135% over the same period in 2022. The projects mainly focus on the fields of services; commerce; manufacturing of equipment, machinery, components; garments; construction materials; information technology; restaurants; legal services; investment, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Le Hoang Phuc \u2013 Deputy Director of Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency \u2013 emphasizes: “FDI enterprises play an important role in the fields of manufacturing and goods export. They also create jobs as well as contribute to supporting domestic capital enterprises in the city to take part in the global value chain and promoting the economic restructuring towards modern industry. Therefore, in addition to a dynamic and competitive investment environment, the leaders of the city always create the best conditions for the growth and operations of the FDI enterprises. The seminar is expected to open up opportunities for extensive cooperation among the enterprises in the manufacturing sector, creating a premise to expand to other sectors such as tourism and services, establishing an attractive investment environment, delivering outstanding growth to FDI enterprises\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides, Mr. Le Minh Quan \u2013 Director of Digital Transformation in Manufacturing, FPT IS \u2013 has also given many suggestions for enterprises in “smartening manufacturing activities”. Accordingly, Mr. Quan emphasizes the application of AI to address major problems in manufacturing, such as automation, anomaly detection, and early warning.<\/span><\/p>\n
