Recently, FPT IS and Zeroboard formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to pool their technological strengths and co-create to address the challenge of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Vietnam and Japan, aiming for the green transition goal and moving closer to the NetZero commitment by 2050.<\/b><\/p>\n

With over 120 countries aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region where CO2 emissions have increased to 15.2 billion tons, greenhouse gas accounting and inventory are becoming an important part of businesses strategies for sustainable development. However, there are still many challenges to tackle before GHG accounting and inventory can be implemented, particularly in scope 3 of the supply chain, including time-consuming data collection, a lack of knowledge about complicated standards and regulations, and the unavailability of environmental data in businesses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The cooperation between FPT IS and Zeroboard aims to help solve these challenges by providing businesses with more effective reporting and reduction solutions for greenhouse gas emissions that meet global standard frameworks, including ISO 14064-1, GHG Protocol, and other standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

By combining the technologies and services of the two businesses, inventory accuracy, reporting quality, and carbon emission reduction plans optimized for customers will all be improved. Particularly, FPT IS offers the VertZ\u00e9ro solution to help businesses accurately inventory and report emissions and provide strategic recommendations to optimize emissions reduction plans.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, Zeroboard provides products that can visualize data and analyze the supply chain to offer specific mitigation measures. Thanks to the integration of FPT IS\u2019s VertZ\u00e9ro and Zeroboard\u2019s Zeroboard system, businesses will be able to easily and quickly access emissions data from their supply chain, which will facilitate seamless data exchange and lessen the challenges both parties face in gathering supply chain emissions data during the reporting process. The two parties will also exchange technical know-how and data to improve service performance and foster innovation in greenhouse gas inventory.<\/span><\/p>\n
