FPT IS recently had the honor of participating in the workshop titled ‘Database Systems and Data Architecture Framework for Ho Chi Minh City’s Transportation Sector.’ The event, co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transportation and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, provided a platform to share experiences, present solutions, and explore the latest trends in traffic data management<\/b><\/p>\n

An Overview of the Workshop on Database Systems and Data Architecture Framework for Ho Chi Minh City’s Transportation Sector<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to develop a unified and modern database system for the transportation sector, effectively supporting the management, operations, and growth of Ho Chi Minh City’s transportation industry.To achieve this goal, the workshop provided a platform for scientists and transportation experts to share experiences, knowledge, and the latest trends in building specialized databases.<\/span><\/p>\n

Establishing a comprehensive transportation database is a key focus of Ho Chi Minh City’s digital transformation journey, aligning with the city’s vision of becoming a smart urban hub. This database will encompass critical data categories such as traffic infrastructure, vehicles, traffic flow, and information related to passenger and freight transport. The data will be regularly updated to ensure accuracy and completeness, enabling in-depth analysis, traffic forecasting, and timely decision-making. This will significantly enhance the effectiveness of transportation management, operations, and development.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Tran Vu, Vice President of the University of Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the workshop was a valuable opportunity for scientists and experts in the transportation sector to exchange and share research, knowledge, and practical experiences in developing specialized databases, particularly in transportation.<\/span><\/p>\n
