Recently, the Dong Anh Electrical Equipment Corporation (EEMC) and FPT IS, a member unit of the FPT Corporation, officially implemented the SAP S\/4HANA Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system after just 10 months of deployment, marking an important step in their digital transformation journey. The project not only helps EEMC \u2013 a leading company in transformer manufacturing \u2013 improve management efficiency and optimize production processes, but also serves as a foundation for its strategy to expand into international markets, contributing to the realization of its sustainable development goals.<\/b><\/p>\n

Specifically, after just 10 months of implementation, the SAP S\/4HANA system has officially gone live at the parent company and two subsidiaries, covering nearly 130 complex business processes, including finance, production, maintenance management, and intelligent reporting. Departments and units can now connect and seamlessly share data on a unified platform.\u00a0 Leveraging standard reports from the system allows the executive team to make quick and accurate decisions, while also reducing paper usage and optimizing administrative time. These results not only fully meet the initial objectives but also lay the foundation for EEMC to realize its strategy for expansion and enhance its competitiveness in the international market.<\/span><\/p>\n

The project is a clear demonstration of the effective collaboration between EEMC and FPT, with a comprehensive implementation covering 9 modules: Financial Accounting (FI), Management Accounting (CO), Purchasing and Inventory (MM), Production (PP), Sales and Distribution (SD), Financial Consolidation (GR), Maintenance Management (PM), Quality Management (QM), Intelligent Reporting System (SAC), as well as eInvoice and QR code integration. The system is also designed to be open, ready to integrate new technologies in the future, enabling EEMC to not only optimize current operations but also enhance its ability to adapt to the global digital transformation trend.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the context of the constantly changing global economy, innovation and technology adoption are key factors for businesses to enhance their competitiveness. The implementation of the SAP S\/4HANA system is a strategic, proactive step that clearly reflects EEMC’s long-term vision, which not only aligns with the trends of integration and modernization but also harmonizes with the nation’s overall development direction as it enters a new era\u2014a prosperous and thriving era.<\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The market today is opening up many valuable opportunities, thanks to the combination of investment-attractive policies, abundant human resources, and an expanding consumer market. In particular, the Vietnam National Energy Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision toward 2045, approved by the Prime Minister, is playing a crucial role in driving the energy industry forward. Along with this, the rapidly growing electricity consumption, in parallel with economic development, is creating favorable conditions for businesses in the industry to break through. Notably, Article 8 of the newly passed Electricity Law focuses on supporting domestic electricity companies, offering significant opportunities for enterprises such as the EEMC to develop and expand their competitiveness in the international market.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a short time after implementation, EEMC has seen many positive results, especially in budget management, production management, and promoting a data-driven culture by using data and reports on the SAP system for internal meetings. The system brings optimization in time and resource management and governance, while also paving the way for EEMC to be ready to scale operations, boost exports, and enhance our competitiveness in the international market in the near future,\u201d said Mr. Nguyen Vu Cuong, CEO of EEMC.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sharing more about the project, Mr. Nguyen Hai Quan, Deputy CEO of EEMC, affirmed that it is not merely a system. The implementation of the SAP S\/4HANA enterprise resource planning solution has created an ideal environment for EEMC to standardize management according to international standards, improve operational processes, enhance transparency, tighten control over management activities, and continue to develop and apply other advanced technologies in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Viet, Managing Director of SAP Vietnam, the SAP S\/4HANA system will not only achieve initial results but will also bring many practical benefits, such as improving management efficiency, enhancing production processes, and strengthening competitiveness in the context of global digital transformation, particularly aligning with EEMC’s export expansion strategy. “SAP is committed to always accompanying and supporting Vietnamese businesses like EEMC on their digital transformation journey,” Mr. Viet shared.<\/span><\/p>\n
