On April 3, Saigon Union of Trading co-operation (Saigon Co.op) and FPT Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on digital transformation and green transformation in the retail sector. The partnership aims to apply advanced technology solutions to enhance customer experience and promote sustainable development. It reflects a long-term vision, a spirit of innovation, and a strong commitment to elevating Vietnam\u2019s retail industry to a more modern, sustainable, and breakthrough-driven level, in line with Resolution 57-NQ\/TW of the Politburo.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Saigon Co.op and FPT are focusing their collaboration on four key strategic areas to drive digital and green transformation in the retail sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

First, the two parties will develop smart IT infrastructure based on cloud computing, laying a solid foundation for comprehensive digitalization.<\/span><\/p>\n

Second, they will focus on implementing an ERP system and improving internal IT training quality to optimize operations and enhance workforce capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Third, Saigon Co.op and FPT will apply advanced technologies such as Big Data, AI, IoT, and automation to leverage customer data and optimize payment platforms across retail chains.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly, both parties will jointly research and develop new business models, unlocking sustainable growth opportunities in line with modern consumer trends.<\/span><\/p>\n

From Saigon Co.op\u2019s perspective, the cooperation is expected to position the company as a pioneering distributor in applying cutting-edge technologies in Vietnam, enhancing its competitiveness and meeting the growing demands of the market.<\/span><\/p>\n

The cooperation takes place as Vietnam\u2019s retail market is projected to reach a value of 200 billion USD by 2025, with digital transformation spending expected to grow by an average of 30% annually from 2024 to 2027, according to a report by IDC. Notably, Resolution 57-NQ\/TW emphasizes the vital role of technology in enhancing productivity, connecting supply chains, and improving service quality.<\/span><\/p>\n

Embracing this trend, Saigon Co.op is accelerating its digital transformation by adopting breakthrough technologies to optimize operations, enhance customer experience, and align with the directives of Resolution 57. Through a comprehensive digitalization strategy\u2014from supply chain management to cashless payments and e-commerce, Saigon Co.op continues to expand its scale and reaffirm its pioneering position in Vietnam\u2019s retail industry.<\/span><\/p>\n
