Recently, the United Nations Children\u2019s Fund (UNICEF) in Vietnam and FPT Corporation signed an initial commitment to collaborate on deploying technology-driven solutions in green transition, data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) to support child protection and education in Vietnam.<\/b><\/p>\n

The agreement between UNICEF and FPT focuses on assessing greenhouse gas emissions in child-related environments, developing AI-powered early warning systems for natural disasters, and advancing digital skills education alongside online child protection.<\/span><\/p>\n

UNICEF contributes its global expertise in child rights, policy advocacy, and resource mobilization to ensure that technology solutions are closely aligned with real needs. FPT brings in its technological capabilities and teams of experts in AI, big data, and modern digital infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the environmental field, the two sides plan to pilot VertZ\u00e9ro \u2013 FPT\u2019s carbon accounting software \u2013 to measure emissions at selected schools, hospitals, and community centers for children. The data collected will help identify pollution sources and the extent of their impact on children, leading to recommendations such as installing solar panels, improving insulation, or adopting energy-efficient lighting systems. UNICEF will use these insights to prepare child-focused environmental impact reports and advocate for emission reduction policies.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the field of disaster prevention, FPT is researching and integrating AI into forest, land, and water monitoring systems to provide early warnings of floods, landslides, droughts, and seasonal water shortages. UNICEF will work with government agencies to leverage national data sources and apply the analytical results to policy development for disaster response, helping protect millions of children and families living in high-risk areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

UNICEF and FPT will also jointly develop and implement programs that enable children and young people to access technology safely, learn digital and AI skills, and support parents in accompanying their children\u2019s digital journey.<\/span><\/p>\n

FPT\u2019s digital education platforms will play a central role in these initiatives, including: Khaothi.Online – a digital testing system that enhances assessment quality and learning outcomes; Meduverse – a learning ecosystem powered by AI, VR\/AR, big data, and gamification for children aged 4-15; and CodeLearn – a platform for programming and digital skills training for students.<\/span><\/p>\n

These solutions are tailored to align with Vietnam\u2019s general and preschool education curricula, featuring adaptive learning functions that help students build personalized learning pathways. In addition, the two sides will organize teacher training programs and community activities, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and equitable digital learning environment for all children.<\/span><\/p>\n
