Ho Chi Minh City \u2013 FPT Corporation has announced two significant cooperation agreements with VinaCapital and the Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) at the 2025 Autumn Economic Forum, underscoring its commitment to supporting Ho Chi Minh City in accelerating digital transformation, advancing economic and high-tech infrastructure, and aligning with the city\u2019s vision of evolving into a global digital megacity.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

FPT \u2013 VinaCapital (VNC) partnership: advancing green infrastructure and smart urban development<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Vu Anh Tu, Chief Technology Officer of FPT Corporation, and Alex Hambly, Group Managing Director of Investment at VinaCapital, announced the cooperation between FPT and VNC.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The Strategic Cooperation Agreement between FPT and VinaCapital represents a breakthrough alignment between two leading groups in technology and finance\/investment. The partnership aims to drive major infrastructure and large-scale development projects that support Vietnam\u2019s socio-economic objectives in line with national policies, particularly Resolution No. 57-NQ\/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.<\/span><\/p>\n

A key focus of the partnership is the deployment of sustainable energy solutions and smart technology infrastructure. FPT and VNC will collaborate on supplying transitional and renewable energy for all FPT operations in Vietnam through direct power purchase agreements (DPPA). Both sides will also jointly research and develop integrated urban areas, centralized digital technology zones, and Innovation & Technology Campus (ITC) projects designed to attract global high-tech investors, including semiconductor manufacturers and suppliers, R&D centers, digital technology companies, AI and cloud enterprises, as well as digital infrastructure and data center projects in Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n

The partnership also expands into digital rail solutions and intelligent transportation. FPT and VNC will cooperate to build and operate an operations control center (OCC) to manage and coordinate urban rail and transit networks, contributing to improved transportation efficiency. VinaCapital will provide financial capacity and investor network connectivity to help accelerate joint projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

SHTP \u2013 FPT partnership: strengthening Ho Chi Minh city\u2019s semiconductor industry<\/span><\/strong>\"Picture2<\/a><\/p>\n

Nguyen Ky Phung, Head of the Management Board of Saigon Hi-Tech Park, and Vu Anh Tu, Chief Technology Officer of FPT Corporation, announced the cooperation between FPT and SHTP.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The cooperation agreement between SHTP and FPT is designed to address the demand for high-quality semiconductor talent. The two parties will coordinate on training programs and professional development to supply a skilled workforce for the semiconductor sector. SHTP will also facilitate FPT\u2019s deeper participation in the semiconductor supply chain and strengthen connections with enterprises operating within the hi-tech park.<\/span><\/p>\n

The partnership comes as SHTP implements the Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Technology Development Program for 2026\u20132030, and FPT stands out as a company with comprehensive capabilities across semiconductor training, design, packaging and testing.<\/span><\/p>\n

FPT takes on the role of \u201cmaster architect\u201d of digital transformation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking at the Forum, V\u0169 Anh T\u00fa, CTO of FPT Corporation, highlighted Ho Chi Minh City\u2019s notable progress, ranking among the country\u2019s leaders in the 2024 National Digital Transformation Index, particularly in digital awareness and digital institutional readiness. He emphasized that science, technology, innovation and digital transformation are essential growth drivers, enabling the city to pursue its target of deriving 40% of GRDP from the digital economy by 2030.<\/span><\/p>\n

Identifying this period as a pivotal moment for the city\u2019s acceleration, T\u00fa stated that FPT aspires to take on the role of \u201cmaster architect\u201d in Ho Chi Minh City\u2019s comprehensive digital transformation – partnering long-term from blueprint development and ICT infrastructure architecture to modern data ecosystem building and the adoption of advanced technologies, enhancing the city\u2019s competitiveness and global positioning.<\/span><\/p>\n

The proposed cooperation focuses on four strategic pillars. FPT will work with the city to develop a comprehensive digital transformation strategy through 2030, aiming to establish a digital government, digital economy and digital society. The partnership will also advance an artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem tailored for the city, providing high-performance computing infrastructure and AI platforms to enable key applications such as digital twins for urban governance, critical infrastructure monitoring, intelligent transportation and drainage systems, as well as digital healthcare and education. In addition, the two sides will build connectivity infrastructure, data centers and cybersecurity capabilities for the International Financial Center, supporting the development of a modern, globally connected financial market while training a skilled cybersecurity workforce. Finally, the cooperation will expand the city\u2019s digital talent pipeline through public-sector training programs, technology talent development initiatives, support for the digital enterprise ecosystem and efforts to attract high-tech investment.<\/span>
