On January 14, 2026, representatives from FPT held a bilateral meeting with the Singaporean delegation to bolster connectivity, exchange ideas and explore potential synergies with Singapore\u2019s regulatory bodies and technology units.<\/b><\/p>\n

The session took place within the framework of the 6th ASEAN Digital Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADGSOM), held from January 12 to 14, 2026, in Hanoi. The event convened Heads of Delegations and representatives from agencies in charge of IT, telecommunications, and digital transformation across the 11 ASEAN member states, the ASEAN Secretariat, and relevant partners.<\/span><\/p>\n

In an atmosphere of<\/span> openness and constructive collaboration, the discussion centered on deepening the ties between FPT and Singapore\u2019s technology ecosystem. The Singaporean delegation featured Mr. Timothy Chin, Assistant Chief Executive, International, Infocomm Media Development Authority, and Mr. Foong Huei Tai, Executive Manager, International Relations, Policy and Strategy, Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). Representing FPT were Mr. Than Minh Ngoc, Chief Operations Officer of FPT IS, FPT Corporation; Mr. Vu Tien Dat, Chief Human Resources Officer of FPT Software, FPT Corporation; and Mr. Ly Viet Thang, Director of Global Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, FPT Smart Cloud, FPT Corporation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Buoi<\/a>The meeting was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

During the meeting, FPT Corporation representatives asserted FPT’s robust technological capabilities, backed by a global presence spanning over 30 countries, with Singapore identified as one of its highest growing markets.\u00a0 With over 19 years of operation in the Singaporean market, FPT is committed to a dual-track strategy, engaging both the public and private sectors<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Singaporean delegates also highly commended FPT\u2019s long-standing presence and active contributions to the regional technological landscape, expressing a strong interest in fostering future partnerships.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

FPT reaffirmed its position as a strategic partner to the Vietnamese Government in developing the National Database and the comprehensive digitalization of ministerial workflows. The current challenge lies not only in the scale and interconnectivity of data, but also in the imperatives of ensuring security, privacy, and the ability to leverage AI for effective and secure data exploitation<\/span><\/p>\n

Addressing these pivots, the Singaporean side shared their “centralized and decentralized” digital transformation model where GovTech acts as a central hub for shared platforms and security tools, while deploying agile expert teams to individual ministries to tackle domain-specific challenges. The delegates expressed readiness to facilitate further dialogue between FPT and specialized units to deep-dive into this model.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding AI, FPT emphasized its mission to drive AI advancement in Vietnam and the broader region through its strategic alliance with NVIDIA, including the development of AI Factories to provide GPU Cloud infrastructure. Furthermore, FPT has inaugurated the Quantum & AI Institute to spearhead international-standard research and patents.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Cac<\/a>FPT representatives present technological capabilities and cooperation initiatives in key focus areas, aiming to foster\u00a0 partnerships with Singapore’s public and private sectors.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

On that basis, FPT proposed expanding connections to the innovation community, startups, and leading research institutes in Singapore, including the National University of Singapore (NUS), to implement joint research projects. Singaporean representatives welcomed this proposal and stated that the Government of Singapore has funding mechanisms for joint research projects if both sides find common ground in expertise and scientific goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the subject of regulatory compliance and cross-border data transfer, given FPT’s global operations in over 30 nations, the Singaporean representatives recommended adopting the ASEAN Model Contractual Clauses. This framework is widely recognized across the region, ensuring transparency and compliance with legal mandates in cross-border activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Concluding the session, both parties reached a consensus on several actionable steps. FPT intends to organize a direct session to work with the CEO of FPT Singapore and Singaporean enterprises to explore how FPT can support digital transformation via government funded initiatives, such as the “CTO-as-a-Service” model.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, FPT was encouraged to participate in the Asia Tech x Singapore (ATX) Summit and the ATX Enterprise exhibition – major tech events in Singapore that offer a platform to engage with global customers, partners and the research community. Both sides agreed to maintain a regular consultation channel to ensure the effective implementation of these cooperative efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Notably, on the evening of January 15, FPT representatives attended the Gala Dinner, further strengthening rapport and fostering mutual understanding between FPT, the Vietnamese business community, and ASEAN partners.<\/span><\/p>\n
