Pharmedic digitizes large-scale management on SAP S/4HANA Cloud implemented by FPT

In just over seven months, FPT partnered with Pharmedic to build the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud ERP platform, helping the company standardize management processes, enhance data transparency, and strengthen operational capabilities.

 

CLIENT

Pharmedic Pharmaceutical Medicinal Joint Stock Company is one of the leading enterprises in Vietnam’s pharmaceutical industry, with 45 years of establishment and development. In the context of global integration, Pharmedic identified digital transformation as a strategic foundation for restructuring its management model, improving operational efficiency, and meeting the pharmaceutical industry’s strict requirements for quality, transparency, and compliance.

 

CHALLENGE

Before the transformation, Pharmedic faced several major management challenges:

  • Disconnected systems: Existing operational software lacked integration, resulting in fragmented data between the accounting department and other business functions such as warehousing and production.
  • Heavy reliance on manual processes: Operational control and decision-making depended significantly on manual tasks, making real-time management difficult.
  • Pressure for organizational change: The company needed to fundamentally transform its processes, control methods, and working habits to comply with international SAP standards within a short timeframe.

 

SOLUTION

FPT partnered with Pharmedic to implement a comprehensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system on the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud platform, combined with the “Made by FPT” solution ecosystem:

  • Core SAP modules: Simultaneous deployment of industry-specific modules for the pharmaceutical sector, enabling seamless integration across Finance, Procurement, Sales, Production, Quality Management, and Warehouse Management.
  • FPT.FlatX solution: Supported order management, promotion programs, discount management, and real-time market control.
  • FPT.iHRP solution: Served as a key pillar in modernizing human resource and payroll management.
  • Agile implementation methodology: Applied international standard processes to shorten implementation time, reduce IT infrastructure investment pressure, and optimize costs compared to traditional ERP systems.

 

RESULTS

The project achieved impressive milestones and outcomes, demonstrating FPT’s implementation capabilities:

  • More than 7 months: Total rapid deployment timeline (project kickoff on April 25, 2025, and official go-live on January 5, 2026).
  • One unified platform: Data was synchronized in real time on a single core system, replacing previously fragmented software systems.
  • End-to-end management: Established a transparent, standardized management platform covering the entire process from production to distribution.
  • 100% compliance with industry standards: The system enabled effective operational control and fully supported strict compliance requirements such as GMP and GDP.

Anytime, anywhere decision-making: Leadership teams could manage operations based on real-time data, completely eliminating dependence on outdated internal IT infrastructure.”
