BIDV Open API System developed by BIDV in partnership with FPT IS

• Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), together with FPT IS and IBM, researched, developed, and launched the BIDV Open API system – an ecosystem leading the future trend of open banking.
• The BIDV Open API system includes four main modules: API Product Management, BIDV Open API Portal for developers, API Gateway integrated with internal systems, API Analytics and Reporting

RESULTS

• On November 29, 2023, BIDV officially launched the BIDV Open API system.
• The open ecosystem enables banking services to be integrated into customers’ applications, software, and digital platforms, creating seamless experiences for shopping, payments, business operations, and financial management in the digital environment.
• BIDV Open API allows customers to explore available API products and select suitable APIs for integration with enterprise software systems. Customers can access APIs in an experiment (sandbox) environment, reducing implementation time for real-world integration. Businesses can register partnership requests directly through the API Portal for faster deployment and integration processes.
• 15 API products were introduced at launch, including: Banking information inquiry, BIDV QR, Individual customer eKYC, Money transfer, Bill payment, E-wallet services
