Smart electronic medical record management system
A hospital in Vietnam receives between 50,000 and 80,000 paper medical records a year on average from both inpatients and outpatients. As a result, the hospital invests a significant amount of costs and resources in printing documents, films, ultrasounds and test results, and other materials. Additionally, the hospital builds and maintains a warehouse to store and safeguard hard copies of medical records.
In response to this situation, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Circular No. 46/2018/TT-BYT on December 28, 2018, which mandates that medical facilities implement electronic medical records by December 31, 2030.
Having partnered with Vietnam’s healthcare sector for more than 20 years, FPT IS understands the challenges that medical facilities face while implementing electronic medical records. Following that, FPT IS has developed the “Electronic medical record management system – FPT.EMR” – a comprehensive solution to digitalize medical records that aims to create paperless hospitals, fulfill the needs of people seeking the history of medical examinations and treatments, and satisfy the management requirements of medical facilities.
