FPT IS and GONSA kick off the akaBot robotic process automation and SAP S/4HANA project
“We are currently on the common road, however, starting from today, we will build a sustainable highway towards the future”, said Mr. Le Vi Hien – Chairman and General Director of GONSA – at the kick-off ceremony of the project on the SAP S/4HANA ERP system and the akaBot robotic process automation solution.
On June 14, FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) and GONSA Joint Stock Company (GONSA) have officially kicked off the project on the SAP S/4HANA ERP system and the akaBot robotic process automation solution. The project aims to standardize data catalogs, business processes and reports, aiming towards building a consistent governance model for GONSA, at the same time, managing the entire resources to enhance the efficiency of GONSA’s uninterrupted sales activities.
GONSA has officially kicked off the project on SAP S/4HANA ERP system and the akaBot robotic process automation solution.
The cooperation is the first step for GONSA to move towards comprehensive digital transformation, implement the strategy of distributing pharmaceuticals in the domestic market and promoting exports to international markets. This is the orientation shared by Mr. Le Vi Hien, Chairman and General Director of GONSA, at the high-level meeting between GONSA and FPT on May 15 at FPT Tower.
After FPT finishes the investigation and analysis of the actual situation, GONSA understands the importance of digital transformation to enhance the project management and operation capacity, the key factor in the pharmaceutical sector. Accordingly, GONSA has decided to “shake hands” with FPT IS to deploy the SAP S/4HANA ERP system and the akaBot robotic process automation solution.
Specifically, FPT IS will deploy the SAP S/4HANA system with CRM/OMS add-on modules. The detailed scope includes capital management, supply planning, promotional discounts, post-sale discounts, supplier discounts… After the SAP S/4HANA system is deployed, GONSA will be able to easily address the problem of managing the pharmaceutical distribution and services and information chain linking in the company, thereby optimizing business processes and enhancing business efficiency. Meanwhile, the akaBot robotic process automation solution will act as a useful companion for GONSA in stages such as processing purchase invoices, issuing orders, approving orders, issuing accounting invoices… Using virtual robots to automate repetitive tasks will help increase work efficiency in uninterrupted sales activities, minimize errors and optimize operating processes, aiming towards digitalization of all processes at the company.
“June 14, 2023 is a turning point that marks the first milestone on digital transformation between GONSA, FPT IS and SAP Vietnam. GONSA will start by transforming legacy processes and then implement new ones on the SAP software system. It seems like we are currently on the common road, however, starting from today, we will build a sustainable highway towards the future. The first goal of all will be to successfully deploy the project by January 1, 2024,” said Mr. Le Vi Hien, Chairman and General Director of GONSA.
