On November 24, attending an Vietnam Information Security Day 2022 international conference – exhibition, FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) has discussed in-depth perspectives and key solutions to address security issues, opening ways to adopt technologies into practice for organizations and companies.
Themed “Joining hands to ensure secure digital transformation for people and companies”, Vietnam Information Security Day 2022 international conference and exhibition, under the auspice of Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), has been organized by Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA) in collaboration with Department of Information Security – Ministry of Information and Communications.
In the first 11 months of 2022, the Department of Information Security has recorded alerts and instructed to handle more than 11,000 cases of cyber attack, an increase of 44.3% over the same period of the last year. Although security vulnerability is one of the leading causes of cyber attack, proactive and advanced prevention has yet drawn proper attention.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung – Deputy Minister of the MIC – affirms: “2022 is determined to be the year to protect people in cyberspace. With drastic involvement of the Government, related ministries, departments and agencies, in the first 10 months of the year, Vietnam has detected and handled more than 2,063 violating websites, of which 1,255 websites are found fraudulent. In the coming time, the MIC will prioritize and promote innovative cyber security initiatives and solutions, serving interests of the country and protecting people in cyberspace. The MIC also calls on associations and cyber security companies to join hands with the Ministry to make Vietnam an autonomous country in terms of cyber security technologies, products and services”.
