FPT IS to develop an information system for Lao mineral enterprise
The strategic cooperation agreement between FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) and Asia Investment, Development & Construction Sole Co., Ltd. (AIDC) is a major precondition to develop an information system for the management of mining operations and export of mining resources in Laos.
During the visit and working trip of Laos’ Minister of Finance Mr. Bounchom Ubonpaseuth to Vietnam, on July 26, FPT IS and AIDC have officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop an information system for the management of mining operations and export of mining resources for AIDC and Laos’ Ministry of Finance.
Accordingly, FPT IS will conduct research on market conditions and the enterprise’s operations to assess the feasibility and development potential of the project in terms of technical, financial, commercial, legal, and other related aspects. The two sides will jointly prepare and research to come up with a plan, schedule, and budget appropriate for the project.

At the ceremony, Mr. Pheutsapha Phoummasack, General Director of AIDC, says: “AIDC is one of the leading companies in Laos in developing energy, water supply, real estate and property, infrastructure, construction, agriculture and commerce projects. We have been always accompanying the Lao Government in developing the country’s initiatives on energy, water, infrastructure, and agricultural product exports. Furthermore, we have also expanded our operations into photovoltaic and wind power plants in multiple provinces and cities in Vietnam, such as Binh Thuan, Ben Tre, etc.
Especially, in the field of mining control and management of mining resources export, we understand the importance of developing an advanced information system. FPT IS is a long-standing company in the IT sector in Vietnam, with in-depth expertise and deep understanding of the market in Laos thanks to its extensive cooperation with companies in our country. Therefore, AIDC is highly honored and believes the cooperation with FPT IS will allow us to manage our operations in a better and more efficient way.”

Since then, the company has been delivering multiple IT projects for organizations and enterprises in Laos in fields of telecommunications, government, banking, public finance, including: Tax Department, Électricité du Laos (EDL), Lao Telecommunication Public Company, Unitel, ETL, T-plus, BCEL, LaoViet Bank, ST Bank, Indochinabank, etc.
In Vietnam, FPT IS has been a long-term and dedicated IT partner of the Government, Ministries/Departments/Sectors, and enterprises for more than 27 years. Particularly in the fields of public finance, customs, and treasury, FPT IS is honored to accompany and develop IT systems for the Ministry of Finance from 1995 to present, earning the company valuable experience and in-depth knowledge of the industry, thereby effectively addressing the needs for digital transformation of domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises.
“The agreement is an important step to promote and exchange experience related to digital transformation between the two “neighboring” countries in the ASEAN region. Adopting IT in mining control and management of mining resources export is a strategy that aligns with the trend of digital transformation and shows the right vision of AIDC in particular and Lao Government in general. On behalf of FPT IS, we believe and are committed to accompanying AIDC in adopting IT to create values and enhance efficiency in the field of mining control and management of mining resources export in Laos. With the existing basis and the “harmony” in business goals of the two companies, the cooperation between FPT IS and AIDC promises to deliver major values and contribute to the development of AIDC in particular and Laos’ Ministry of Finance in general” – said Mr. Duong Dung Trieu, Chairman of FPT IS, at the ceremony.
