FPT welcomes IEEE APAC leadership delegation, fostering collaboration in talent development and technology

Recently, FPT and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) held a high-level meeting at FPT Tower. During the session, leaders from both sides exchanged insights on technological capabilities and proposed initiatives for workforce development and AI-powered technology solutions, aiming to spearhead innovation waves both in Vietnam and globally.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Tran Tuan Anh – Chief Product Officer of FPT IS (FPT Corporation); Mr. Pham Quang Nhat Minh– Director of AI Research and Development Center at FPT IS (FPT Corporation); Ms. Dao Hai Phuong – Head of Marketing and Communication, FPT IS (FPT Corporation); Mr. Richard Chandra – International Area Manager, IEEE APAC; along with senior representatives from iGroup Vietnam.

At the event, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh provided an overview of FPT’s technological capabilities and position, which had been built over more than 35 years of development. He emphasized that FPT’s group-wide growth strategy revolves around five pillars: AI, Sales, Automotive, Digitalization, and Sustainability, with AI being the leading technology driver. As part of this strategy, FPT is advancing global partnerships, R&D initiatives, and talent acquisition. The corporation has published over 10 research papers at leading conferences such as AAAI, NeurIPS, and ICML, as well as in prestigious journals including IEEE. FPT is also an official partner of NVIDIA and a pioneer in building two AI Factories in Japan and Vietnam. Numerous AI-powered solutions have already been deployed internally and for clients.

Mr. Richard Chandra, International Area Manager at IEEE APAC, expressed his strong impression of FPT’s AI development strategy. IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is currently the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. With more than 427,000 members across over 190 countries (as of 2024), IEEE is key in driving global innovation, research, and standardization in electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, computer science, and artificial intelligence.

“With a global network of technology engineers, FPT holds strong potential to lead innovation,” said the IEEE APAC representative. “IEEE Vietnam aspires to become a strategic partner alongside FPT on this journey by providing access to its vast knowledge base, including specialized publications, training programs, and internationally recognized certifications. This collaboration will strengthen FPT’s internal capabilities and accelerate its access to emerging technologies, shorten R&D cycles, and fast-track the development of breakthrough products.”

Both sides expressed a mutual desire to pursue comprehensive collaboration in the future.
