In November 2007, the Vietnamese government passed the PIT Law, and the Tax Department was faced with a major challenge. The General Department of Taxation needed to solve the technological problem of meeting the requirements of PIT tax management, taxpayer income information, and the expected number of PIT taxpayers of up to tens of millions of people.

SOLUTION

The Personal Income Tax (PIT) Management Application was developed by FPT IS on the SAP solution platform – a model that has been successfully applied to many tax systems in the world – together with 3 subcontractors: SAP, Accenture, and Ernst Young. The IT Application Project that meets the requirements of PIT tax management is a “turnkey” project where FPT IS is the main contractor. The final product is a complete information system, and users are fully trained when receiving the new system.

RESULTS

The PIT Tax Management System has been operating in all tax agencies nationwide since October 2012, meeting the changes in the process of implementing the Law and PIT tax exemption and reduction periods.
