BIDV Joint Stock Commercial Bank, in partnership with FPT IS and IBM, has undertaken research, construction, and development of the BIDV Open API system – an ecosystem leading the open banking trend of the future.
The BIDV Open API system consists of 4 main modules: API product management, BIDV Open API portal for developers, API gateway integrated with internal systems, and API analytics and reporting.

Key Results

On November 29, 2023, BIDV officially launched the BIDV Open API system
The open ecosystem facilitates the integration of banking services into customers’ applications, software, and digital platforms, creating a seamless, superior experience for customers for activities such as shopping, payments, business transactions, and financial management in the digital space.
The BIDV Open API allows customers to explore BIDV’s existing API products and select the ones that best suit their needs for integrating banking utilities into their business software. Customers can exploit the API on the sandbox environment, which helps reduce the time for actual integration. Customers can register to collaborate with BIDV directly through the API Portal to deploy actual connection with faster connection time.

15 API products were announced at the launch, including query bank information, BIDV QR, eKYC for individual customers, money transfer, bill payment & e-wallet functionalities
