LOTTE and FPT IS promote cooperation in the Vietnamese market
Recently, more than 30 senior leaders and experts from FPT IS and LOTTE, a top-tier Korean corporation, attended a working session at the FPT Tower. The meeting aimed to open up opportunities for cooperation between the two companies, especially in sustainable development and virtual reality.
In the opening of the meeting, FPT IS Chairman Mr. Tran Dang Hoa shared LOTTE’s development potential in Vietnam and expressed his expectation of strengthening bilateral cooperative relationship between the two corporations, which would aid in enhancing Vietnam – Korea relations.
“LOTTE Group and FPT Corporation both began their journeys as start-ups founded by young entrepreneurs/scientists full of enthusiasm and ambition. Since LOTTE’s business expansion to the Vietnamese market, it has become one of FPT’s strategic partners in various hardware infrastructure projects. We expect the two companies to continue close cooperation, delivering the best products and values to our customers”, said FPT IS Chairman.
In his introduction about FPT to LOTTE’s senior leaders, Mr. Hoa emphasized the Corporation’s 6 core values “Respect, Innovation, Teammate – Impartiality, Role Model, and Insight”. These factors are fundamental to FPT’s genes and identity. FPT has constantly innovated and strived for the common benefit of the community, customers, shareholders, and other stakeholders.

After nearly 80 years of establishment, LOTTE has grown into one of the leading enterprises in Korea. Mr. Kim Hicheon, Chairman of LOTTE Academy, expressed his desire to learn more about the Vietnamese market and explore cooperation opportunities with top-level companies like FPT. “LOTTE is moving towards sustainable development and virtual platforms, with the goal of improving the quality of life through excellent products and services. On the occasion of our visit to Vietnam, we wish to deepen our understanding of FPT to unlock our opportunities for cooperation and development in the future,” stated Mr. Kim Hicheon.

Sharing FPT IS’s domestic and international cooperation experiences over its 30-year history, Mr. Dinh Tien Hoang, Deputy Director of the Enterprise Sector, introduced major projects implemented by FPT IS for the Vietnamese market. These include the Personal Income Tax Management System for the Vietnamese General Department of Taxation, ERP system for Petrolimex, the Transaction System Troubleshooting for the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE), etc. He also mentioned FPT IS’s remarkable projects in the global market such as the FMIS system for the National Treasury of the Royal Government of Cambodia, the IVAS system for the National Board of Revenue, the Central Authority for Tax Administration in Bangladesh, the ERP/EAM system for Bangladesh’s Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL), and the Myanmar’s National Financial Switching System, to name a few.
At the meeting, FPT IS leaders and experts also addressed the potential for cooperation between FPT IS and LOTTE in the future. FPT IS is currently focusing on five key areas under the slogan “Co-create the Next”: digital culture, digital solutions, digital growth, digital economy, and green transformation. The company has successfully deployed a large number of solutions for both domestic and international organizations and businesses. In particular, its two products Immersive Experience Platform, akaVerse, and Carbon Accounting Solution, VertZéro, fully align with LOTTE’s sustainable development and virtual reality orientation.
