Power Generation Corporation 1 and FPT Corporation signs strategic cooperation agreement on digital transformation

To establish long-term cooperation relationship in developing digital transformation plan, on December 1, 2021, the signing ceremony of “Strategic cooperation agreement on digital transformation between Power Generation Corporation 1 and FPT Corporation” has taken place at the headquarter of Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1) in conditions that ensure the regulations on control and prevention of COVID-19.

Representing EVNGENCO1 in the ceremony are Chairman of the Board of Members Mr. Nguyen Tien Khoa and CEO Mr. Nguyen Huu Thinh, meanwhile representing FPT Corporation are CEO Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Executive Vice President Mr. Nguyen The Phuong, FPT Information System Co., Ltd. (FPT IS) CEO Mr. Nguyen Hoang Minh.

The strategic cooperation agreement aims to promote cooperation and enhance business performance between EVNGENCO1 and FPT via the development and diversification of products and services.

EVNGENCO1 and FPT sign strategic cooperation agreement on digital transformation.

Specifically, FPT will provide EVNGENCO1 with digital transformation advising and implementation service regarding Production, Business and Administration/Operation, and HR training and development service (training for all management levels, training related to digital transformation).

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation, speaks at the ceremony: “FPT is proud to pioneer in the digital transformation journey of the country and has been accompanying the government and enterprises towards sustainable, flexible, rapid development and breakthrough in the future. We are committed and will affirm our role as experts in digital transformation via specific roadmap and action programs, accompanying EVNGENCO1 to effectively tackle key issues, heading towards the goal of turning EVNGENCO1 into one of the leading power generation corporations in the region”.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tien Khoa, Chairman of EVNGENCO1’s Board of Members, affirms that digital transformation is one of the strategic tasks of Vietnam Electricity in general and EVNGENCO1 in particular. The signing event of strategic cooperation between the two sides demonstrates EVNGENCO1’s great vision and determination towards digital transformation. Mr. Khoa also highly appreciates the potential of the agreement. Meanwhile, Mr. Khoa also believes this will be the start of an important growth period, allowing EVNGENCO1 to take solid steps on the digital transformation journey, developing EVNGENCO1 to a strong digital enterprise, towards the goal of becoming one of the leading power generation corporations in the region.
