Linear regulator
- FPT611F:
The FPT611F is a 400 mA low-dropout regulator (LDO) with excellent line and load transient performance. It consumes low power with maximum 1.5% error in wide range of line, load and temperature conditions. With these characteristics, combined with low noise and good PSRR make this device ideal for portable consumer applications.
The FPT611F provides an output voltage that can be configured via either an external resistor divider (adjustable), or fixed output voltage based on customer needs.
The device includes current limit protection, thermal protection and internal soft-start to lower down the inrush current.
- FPT615F
The FPT615F is a 2-channel low-dropout regulator (LDO) with ability to provide up to 400mA each channel to the output load. Each channel consumes low quiescent current and delivers excellent line and load transient performance in wide range of line, load and temperature conditions. Output voltage of each channel is independently adjusted via external feedback divider. With these characteristics, combined with low noise and good PSRR with low dropout voltage, make this device ideal for portable consumer applications.
Each channel also provide inrush current control during device power up and enabling. With current limit function, the output current of each channel is capped at a defined level to avoid large currents from flowing from the input power source.
The device also comes with thermal voltage protection and under lock-out voltage protection.
- FPT6533
The FPT6533 is a high performance low-dropout regulator designed for use in applications requiring very low input voltage and very low dropout voltage. It can deliver up to 3A output current and can operate with a VIN as low as 1V and VDD voltage 3V with programmable output voltage as low as 0.8V.
The FPT6533 provides excellent regulation over variations in line, load and temperature with only 1.5% of inaccuracy. It also comes with fold-back current limit, thermal protection and enable pin to further reduce power dissipation while shutdown. During start-up, internal soft-start lower the inrush current, and minimizes the input voltage drop. Open-drain power-good indicated that output voltage level reached to 90% of its rating value.
Switching regulator
- FPT711T
The FPT711T is a high efficiency, synchronous step-down DC/DC converter. It has input voltage range from 2.5V to 5.5V and can provide a wide regulated output voltage ranging from 0.9V to 3.3V, while delivering up to 3.5A of output current.
The internal synchronous low on-resistance power switches increase efficiency and eliminate the need for an external Schottky diode. The peak current mode control operation with internal compensation allows the transient response to be optimized over a wide range of loads and output voltage level.
At medium to heavy load, the device operates in pulse width modulation (PWM) mode with 2.2-MHz switching frequency. At light load, the device automatically enters pulse frequency modulation mode (PFM) to maintain high efficiency over the entire load current range.
The FPT711T provides an output voltage that can be configured via either an external resistor divider (adjustable), or selectable output voltage following part number table.
Additionally, the internal compensation circuit allows a compact solution and small external components. An internal soft start circuit limits the inrush current during startup. Other features like over current protection, thermal shutdown protection and power good are also built-in.
Power management IC
- FPT8957
The FPT8957 is a complete, cost effective, and highly-efficient PMIC power management solution optimized for the power, voltage sequencing and control. It features four fixed-frequency, current-mode, synchronous PWM step-down converters that achieve peak efficiencies of up to 97%. These regulators operate with a fixed frequency of 2.25MHz, minimizing noise in sensitive applications and allowing the use of small external components. These buck regulators supply up to 3.5A of output current and can fully satisfy the power and control requirements of the multi-core application processor.
Dynamic Voltage Scaling (DVS) is supported either by dedicated control pins, or through I2C interface to optimize the energy-per-task performance for the processor. This device also includes nine low-noise LDOs (up to 400mA per LDO).
The power sequence and reset controller provides power-on reset, SW-initiated reset, and power cycle reset for the processor. It also features the watchdog supervisory function. Multiple sleep modes with autonomous sleep and wake-up sequence control are supported. The thermal management and protection subsystem allows the host processor to manage the power dissipation of the PMIC and the overall system dynamically. The PMIC provides a thermal warning to the host processor when the temperature reaches a certain threshold such that the system can turn off some of the non-essential functions, reduce the clock frequency, .etc, to manage the system temperature.
LED Driver
- FPT518C
The FPT518C is a 3-channel constant current Linear LED driver capable of delivering up to 200mA constant current per channel. The output current of three channels can be controlled via one external resistor.
The FPT518C supports dimming function via PWM control signal. Each channel has its own PWM signal dedicated for brightness control. The driver has wide input voltage ranging from 6V to 40V enabling it to drive long chains of LED string.
