Bach Mai Hospital and FPT sign Strategic Partnership on Digital Transformation and AI in Healthcare
Bach Mai Hospital and FPT Corporation announced a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement on digital transformation and the application of science and technology, particularly AI in clinical care, hospital management, and workforce development. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the modernization of Vietnam’s healthcare system, aiming to enhance patient services, optimize management and operations, and contribute to the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, as well as Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW on key measures to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of public health.
Attending the signing ceremony, Bach Mai Hospital was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Giap and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Tung, Deputy Directors; along with leaders from various departments, institute heads, and directors of affiliated centers. FPT Corporation was represented by Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO, together with other leaders from the corporation and its member companies.
Leveraging AI to enhance healthcare quality

Under the agreement, the two parties will engage in comprehensive collaboration, focusing on four key areas: full-scale digital transformation, application of technology in healthcare and medical treatment, health care services, and medical workforce development.
First, regarding the hospital’s comprehensive digital transformation, FPT will provide strategic consulting and develop end-to-end digital solutions for Bach Mai Hospital, aiming to build a Smart Hospital. The two parties will also establish a centralized clinical data repository and an open data warehouse for scientific research, enabling AI applications to support clinical decision-making and research. Additionally, they will implement a data integration hub connected to national and international healthcare databases, deploy telemedicine services for remote consultations and treatment, and facilitate online medical training and scientific sessions.
Second, FPT and Bach Mai Hospital will collaborate on the development and application of science and technology in patient care and medical treatment. Specifically, AI will be applied to patient care, forecasting patient demand, supporting imaging diagnostics, ultrasound, endoscopy, and aiding doctors in clinical decision-making. AI will also support efficient resource allocation, medical supply chain management, and forecasting of medical supplies, drugs, and consumables, thereby improving hospital operational efficiency. Moreover, the two parties will cooperate in research, development, and enhancement of digital healthcare products to meet clinical needs and improve healthcare service quality for the public.
Third, Bach Mai Hospital will partner in providing health protection and care services for FPT employees, including comprehensive and specialized health check-ups, periodic monitoring, international expert consultations, on-site medical services, and regular health tracking. The two parties will jointly provide first-aid and general health training, child and women’s health care education. FPT will also participate in community medical initiatives organized by Bach Mai Hospital, including social welfare activities and charity medical campaigns for vulnerable populations.
Fourth, on training and human resource development, FPT will support Bach Mai Hospital in training on hospital management, digital transformation, and AI applications, while the Hospital will assist in training doctors, nurses, and pharmacists for the FPT Long Châu system. Both parties will also implement community (CSR) activities to support disadvantaged patients, particularly women, children, and vulnerable groups.
