On June 3, 2020, Vietnamese Prime Minister signed Decision No. 749/QĐ-TTg, approving the “National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030”, which identified Healthcare as one of the first priority areas in digital transformation. Engaging as a technology company in addressing intractable problems in the medical industry, FPT IS understands that digital transformation acceleration is the key solution to reduce burdens and pressures effectively and synchronously, enabling digital technology to bring happiness to people.

Based on our “patient-centered” principle, FPT IS has researched and continuously developed FPT.eHospital 2.0+ which covers hospital management and operating systems, as well as telehealth software and applications for management and professional operations at Vietnam’s Departments of Health and medical examination/treatment facilities, providing people with a variety of channels to access healthcare units.

Smart hospital management systemFPT.eHospital 2.0+ inherits all the strengths of the previous FPT Hospital software while having evolved with the current 4.0 industrial revolution with SoA architecture, centralized data, IoT/Mobile, portal with open data, big data analytics/artificial intelligence integration, enabling the expansion of healthcare solutions targeting telemedicine and smart healthcare.

Of these, HIS and LIS are the most important information systems, followed by PACS and operating, control, decision-support systems that are linked with external equipment and systems such as insurance, banks, other hospitals, Departments of Health and Ministry of Health of Vietnam. The solution is divided into 12 software groups with functional subsystems for overall management and interlinking of all business processes in hospitals.

RIS-PACS system

System management
Configure PACS server for management
Configure PACS workstation for management
Manage order information
Manage the lists of patients with test orders
2-way interface with common diagnostic imaging equipment (CT, MRT, X-ray, DSA, ultrasound)
Interface with HIS. RIS receives order information from HIS, then transmits it to the diagnostic imaging device using HL7 protocol
PACS receives processed medical images from the doctor’s workstation
PACS coverts medical images from DICOM to JPEG formats and transfers them to the RIS system. RIS then sends these images in JPEG format to the HIS system for storage to complete medical records
Interlink PACS and HIS for two-way communication of patient’s diagnostic imaging reports (HIS will be notified of any change in PACS and vice versa)
