FamilyMart Vietnam Enhances Competitiveness with Technology Solutions from FPT Utop
Recently, Utop Technology JSC, a subsidiary of FPT Corporation, signed an agreement to implement the FPT CX Suite for FamilyMart Vietnam JSC at Utop’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Utop in deploying its technology solutions for a large-scale convenience store chain, opening up new opportunities in the retail sector in Vietnam.

Entering the Vietnamese market in 2009 with the ambition of becoming the No.1 convenience store chain, FamilyMart has rapidly expanded to over 160 stores nationwide. With the goal of delivering happiness and customer satisfaction, FamilyMart has chosen Utop as its technology partner to build an effective customer care and membership marketing system.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both companies. On FamilyMart’s side, the event welcomed Mr. Akira Kirimura – General Director of FamilyMart Vietnam, and Mr. Nguyen Nang Huong – Chief Operating Officer of FamilyMart. Representing Utop were Mr. Pham Nguyen Vu – Chief Executive Officer of Utop, FPT Corporation, Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Tai – Deputy General Director of Utop, FPT Corporation, along with project management teams from both sides.

Responding to this, Mr. Akira Kirimura, General Director of FamilyMart Vietnam, expressed high expectations for this collaboration. This platform is crucial as it will serve our loyal customers. We expect Utop to leverage its technology to optimize long-term and effective customer care. At the same time, we hope that data from our existing system will be swiftly transferred to the new application so we can quickly roll it out to our customers.”

Under the cooperation agreement, Utop will upgrade the Fami Point application to offer a modern and personalized experience. The project aims to strengthen customer engagement and loyalty with advanced Loyalty features while optimizing operations through the implementation of the FPT CX Platform, reducing costs and improving efficiency. Additionally, the project will synchronize the loyalty ecosystem with features such as point gifting and conversion, creating a seamless and efficient system.
Specifically, the upgraded Fami Point app will feature a user-friendly interface and modern functions, including point management, transaction history, and tier-based privileges, enhancing customer interaction and personalized promotions. The FPT CX Suite, with its two core solutions – LoyaltyOS and UEngage – will enable comprehensive loyalty program management, from member activation to promotions and point accumulation, with flexible customization and scalability. Programs such as Referral, Birthday Points, and Flash Deals will not only increase customer value but also drive revenue. The platform will also integrate customer management across multiple channels, allowing FamilyMart to optimize operations and personalize messaging in real time. FPT CX Suite will help FamilyMart establish a robust loyalty program, strengthen brand identity, and enhance its competitive edge.
Recognizing the importance of the project, Mr. Nguyen Nang Huong, Chief Operating Officer of FamilyMart Vietnam, stated: “Our current system has several limitations, making it challenging for our business team to improve customer experience. Therefore, we have decided to invest in developing a new, advanced platform like FPT CX Suite to personalize customer experiences and enhance loyalty among our core customer base. This is a crucial part of our long-term strategy for the next 5 years.”
