FPT accompanies Da Nang City to early catch up with the trend of Digital Finance
On May 10, the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City has organized a seminar on “Digital transformation in Finance – Banking” with the participation of FPT delegates and leading experts and speakers in the industry. Ms. Bui Nguyen Phuong Chau, Chief Customer Officer, FPT Information System Co., Ltd., has attended the event and chaired the session on “Da Nang – An ideal destination for Fintech”.
At the beginning of the seminar, Mr. Tran Phuoc Son, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People’s Committee, emphasizes: “The seminar on digital transformation in Finance – Banking is a necessary and meaningful activity, allowing Da Nang City to welcome advices from experts and scientists in the implementation of major policies of the City, including the completion of the project on Developing a regional financial center.”

At the session on “Da Nang – An ideal destination for Fintech” chaired by Ms. Bui Nguyen Phuong Chau, Chief Customer Officer of FPT IS, the guests have together shared their stories about Fintech, as well as the directions to make Da Nang soon become the financial center of the region.
Mr. Vu Minh Tuan, Director of Banking – Finance Technology Consulting Center, FPT IS, has generalized the picture of the finance industry with the most popular current platforms via a presentation on “Digital transformation in Banking – Finance from technology perspective”. According to Mr. Tuan, COVID-19 has partially urged banks to change their way of thinking and prioritize investment in technology solutions. In addition, banks also have to transform the systems to adapt to business requirements, aiming at self-service banking, open banking, “green banking” towards sustainable development for environmental goals.
