FPT appears impressively at “Thu Duc Digital Day 2025”
Recently, FPT Corporation continued to affirm its position as a strategic digital transformation partner of the Ho Chi Minh City government by making a prominent appearance at “Thu Duc Digital Day 2025.” The event was jointly organized by the People’s Committee of Thu Duc Ward, Metro, and Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV), and took place at Metro Line No.1 station. It provided an opportunity for the city and technology enterprises to showcase digital solutions serving citizens, contributing to the development of a smart, convenient, and modern urban environment.

FPT brought to the event a technology showcase featuring a wide range of flagship solutions from the Made by FPT ecosystem, directly addressing urban needs such as transportation, healthcare, and daily-life utilities. Through this event, FPT conveyed the message: partnering with Thu Duc to create a more modern, convenient, and safer living environment powered by Vietnamese technology, while also outlining the digital ecosystem that the Group is deploying in Thu Duc City and Ho Chi Minh City.

Visitors had the opportunity to experience the HCMC Metro HURC application, developed by FPT in collaboration with HURC1 to support more convenient and modern travel on Metro Line No.1. Available for free on Android and iOS, the application allows users to purchase electronic tickets, make payments through multiple methods, and generate QR codes for station entry and exit, helping to reduce waiting time and simplify the commuting process.

HCMC Metro HURC provides comprehensive information on routes, maps, stations, travel itineraries, ticket prices, and essential utilities. The application also integrates 360-degree virtual tours and 3D models of trains, as well as a “Feedback” feature that allows citizens to submit comments directly. By enabling passengers to proactively plan their journeys, HCMC Metro HURC contributes to the promotion of a modern, transparent, and environmentally friendly public transportation system – an important step in Ho Chi Minh City’s smart city development journey. After more than one year since its launch, the application has recorded over 1,300,000 downloads.
Alongside urban applications, FPT’s healthcare solution group also attracted significant attention from visitors, notably including the Vietnam Epidemiological and Pharmaceutical Substance Map and the 3P continuous glucose monitoring device.

The Vietnam Epidemiological and Pharmaceutical Substance Map, developed by FPT in collaboration with Long Chau Pharmacy and Vaccination System, is a preventive healthcare support tool based on real-time data. The solution aggregates and analyzes nationwide medication demand from more than 2,200 Long Chau pharmacies (currently serving over 28 million people), thereby reflecting epidemiological trends in each area and forecasting potential outbreak risks. Drug transaction data is encrypted, authenticated via VNeID, and cross-checked with the National Population Database, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and security. The solution supports authorities in formulating effective preventive healthcare policies and optimizing resource allocation, while also helping citizens access appropriate medications and proactively prevent diseases. From January 1st, 2025, citizens can also purchase Long Chau medicines online via VNeID – marking a new milestone in the digitalization of healthcare services.
Regarding the 3P continuous glucose monitoring device, this technology allows users to monitor their blood glucose levels 24/7 directly on their smartphones without the need for blood sampling. With a small sensor device and a mobile application, glucose levels are updated every three minutes over a 14-day period, accompanied by intuitive charts that record the impact of diet, physical activity, and medication. Notably, doctors can access patient data via the FPT MediCare application and review 14 or 30-day reports to accurately assess health conditions and promptly adjust treatment plans.

In addition, at the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center’s exhibition area, FPT also accompanied the Center in introducing the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen App. Developed jointly by the Center and FPT, the application serves as a two-way communication channel between the city government and citizens through simple and convenient “one-touch” interactions. With this application, citizens are authenticated via VNeID accounts, enabling integration with population data and direct connectivity with government authorities.
On the occasion of the event, FPT and the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center distributed 300 vouchers offering a 3% discount on purchases at FPT Shop to citizens who downloaded the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen App, while also delivering a variety of engaging technology experience activities at the booth.
According to the latest assessment by the Ministry of Science and Technology at the end of 2024, Ho Chi Minh City continues to maintain its leading position nationwide on the Digital Transformation Index (DTI), achieving outstanding scores across all three core pillars: digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
Within the broader digital transformation landscape of Ho Chi Minh City in general and Thu Duc in particular, the participation of technology enterprises plays a pivotal and stimulating role in enabling digital government, digital economy, and smart city models. Among them, FPT is one of the strategic partners that has contributed to realizing many of the City’s key objectives in recent years. Leveraging its comprehensive technological capabilities, FPT has participated in building the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen App, deploying shared urban data platforms, developing intelligent operations centers (IOC) for multiple districts, and supporting the digitalization of healthcare, transportation, and social welfare sectors. Particularly in Thu Duc, FPT has collaborated on implementing “Smart Neighborhood” models that integrate population management data, on-site incident reporting, public services, and essential utilities into a digital environment, enabling more transparent governance and more convenient access to services for citizens.
