FPT expands global footprint with Khaothi.Online, set to launch in the Philippines
From June 3 to 14, 2025, a delegation from FPT, led by Dr. Dang Xuan Cuong – Chief Science Officer of the Khaothi.Online platform – conducted an intensive working trip to the Philippines to introduce Khaothi.Online, a digital platform for educational assessment and testing, to four key education regions: Region 6 (Western Visayas), Region 7 (Central Visayas), Region 13 (Caraga), and Region 1 (Ilocos Region). Accompanying the delegation was FPT’s local market development partner, Spring State.
Following a successful debut in the National Capital Region (NCR) and an official meeting with the Philippine Department of Education in May, this visit was carried out at the formal invitation of regional education departments. The mission focused on training, technical transfer, and defining the scope of deployment in preparation for a Proof of Concept (POC) phase, scheduled to begin in July 2025.
Bringing digital testing into local education practices
The journey began in Boracay, Region 6 (Western Visayas), where on June 3–4, over 60 educational administrators – including program coordinators, subject specialists (in Math, Science, English, Filipino, and ICT), principals, and teachers – participated in a hands-on training workshop on the Khaothi.Online platform. The event was co-organized by Ms. Elena P. Gonzaga and Mr. Jonathan O. Borbon from the Region 6 Department of Education. Participants experienced a full digital testing workflow: aligning the platform with the Philippine curriculum, uploading question banks, generating test papers, organizing virtual classrooms, scheduling and conducting online exams, and monitoring remote assessments.
Participants were given a comprehensive, hands-on experience of the end-to-end digital testing process.
Continuing in Cebu – Region 7 (Central Visayas) on June 6–7, 15 key subject leaders in Math, Science, and English from the regional and district education offices successfully completed an intensive training session. The workshop was led by Mr. Cesar A. Restauro, Jr., Mathematics Program Coordinator, who will also oversee the upcoming POC phase in the region. Participants quickly mastered the platform’s core functionalities and demonstrated readiness to implement them in practice.
In Butuan – Region 13 (Caraga), on June 9–10, a total of 35 participants – including exam officers, program coordinators, and teachers representing the regional office, district education units, and select schools – joined the training. The sessions were coordinated by Mr. Kevin Hope Salvana (Science Program and Testing Coordinator) and Ms. Rhea Yparraguirre (Math Program Coordinator). The atmosphere was dynamic and engaging, featuring multiple live demonstrations that showcased the participants’ quick grasp of the platform and the strong implementation readiness of local education leaders.
The training atmosphere was vibrant and engaging, highlighted by multiple live product demonstrations.
The working trip concluded in Ilocos – Region 1 on June 11–12 with a large-scale training program that brought together 68 delegates from 12 district education offices, representing key subject areas. The session was led by Ms. Rica Perez, Math Program Head of the Regional Department of Education. Under the detailed guidance of Dr. Dang Xuan Cuong, participants successfully completed hands-on exercises and delivered practical outputs directly on the platform – affirming Khaothi.Online’s strong usability and its effectiveness in real-world educational settings.
Following each regional training, Dr. Dang Xuan Cuong was honored with Certificates of Training Recognition, presented by the Directors of the Departments of Education in Regions 7, 13, and 1.
Strategic collaboration with the National Capital Region – Toward a long-term vision
Prior to the regional trip, Khaothi.Online was piloted in the National Capital Region (NCR) starting in May. Shortly after, the Khaothi.Online team supported the NCR Department of Education in successfully conducting a large-scale placement and diagnostic math assessment for over 24,000 students from Grades 4 to 11 as part of the summer learning program. During this recent visit, FPT’s delegation also held discussions with NCR education leaders to shape a long-term cooperation plan and expand the platform’s adoption across more institutions in the region.
An official working session with the Philippine Department of Education is currently being scheduled for the next visit, following the nationwide back-to-school period.
Ready for the POC phase – Khaothi.Online poised for breakthrough in international markets
Concluding 12 days of productive engagements, FPT’s delegation successfully achieved its dual goals: equipping regional educators with platform proficiency and laying the groundwork for the Proof of Concept (POC) phase, set to begin in July 2025. Moving forward, the Khaothi.Online team, in close coordination with local partner Spring State, will continue to provide technical support to ensure a smooth, impactful, and in-depth rollout.
