FPT IS expert: “Knowledge synergy – Innovation replication is the foundation for sustainable development”
FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS), one of Vietnam’s typical technology firms, has recently attended the Inno Vietnam – Japan Fast Track Pitch 2023 program and brought up the challenges that the startup community should overcome, thereby promoting the adoption of digital transformation in the economy and society.
At the event, Mr. Le Viet Thanh – Deputy Director of Data Platform & Analytics Center, FPT IS – has brought up two major challenges, specifically:
- Cooperation regarding a cross-border carbon credit management and trading platform: Since Vietnam will start piloting a carbon credit exchange by 2025 and is expected to begin official operations from 2028, creating a cross-border carbon credit trading and management platform is of urgent need. Accordingly, FPT IS suggests adopting Blockchain, identifying each carbon credit as an NFT to ensure the uniqueness of the value of the credit as well as convenience and transparency in the trading process. This will be an opportunity for businesses to expand their markets and participate in the global value chain, as well as demonstrate responsibilities in protecting green and sustainable living environment in the future.
- Development of virtual assistants to support legal information searching: The complexity of the legal system makes it difficult for the people to find the needed information. With smart virtual assistant application, people can quickly and easily look up legal regulations. This will improve the quality of public services and ensure that the process of law enforcement takes place in a serious and effective manner.

Responding to such challenges, FPT IS expresses the desire to accompany research startups to develop technology solutions to overcome and turn the strong impact of technology into effectiveness in promoting Digital government – Digital economy – Digital society, thereby assisting startups to invest and expand the scale of adoption of solutions via maximum access to FPT IS’s large global partner network.

Inno Vietnam – Japan Fast Track Pitch 2023 is jointly organized by Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC), the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam. The event is within the framework of the “ASEAN – Japan Co-Creation Fast Track Initiative” jointly chaired by the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.
