FPT IS issues digital signatures at no cost to people of Hanoi
On the morning of April 8, Hanoi city has held an opening ceremony of booths to issue free digital signatures to the people at the walking street around Hoan Kiem lake (Hoan Kiem district). At the event, the booth of FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) has drawn great attention from senior leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), Hanoi People’s Committee, Hanoi Department of Information and Communications, and a large number of people in the area.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung – Deputy Minister of the MIC – says that in the digital era, administrative procedures need to be carried out on digital environment. The opening of the booth to issue free personal digital signatures is a good step to help people conduct transactions on digital environment.

Digital signatures can be used to sign documents and personal records, as well as register and sign public services. The comprehensive digitalization of signature creation, information authentication by facial biometrics using eKYC technology and chip-based ID cards on FPT-CA MPKI application (a personal digital signature application developed by FPT IS) allows people to register quickly on the phone while ensuring maximum accuracy. Particularly, after successfully activating the digital signature, people can immediately sign documents on the Public service portal of Hanoi.
On the first day of implementation, FPT IS consults and successfully installs digital signatures for nearly 40 persons, creating an important step forward in promoting the digitalization of handling administrative procedures for the people.

Remote signature (FPT.eSign) is a FPT IS’ solution that has been researched and developed based on the company’s extensive experience in solving practical problems of the society. With FPT.eSign, users can sign tens of thousands of documents at the same time right on an internet-connected mobile phone or tablet without having to use devices such as USB token, SIM, Smart card.
FPT.eSign has been certified by Tayllorcox, an European certification body, in terms of guarantee of standards on identification, electronic authentication, and trusted services. Currently in Vietnam, there are more than 20 organizations providing public digital signature services, of which there are only 7 organizations that are able to fully meet relevant regulations and standards and are licensed by the MIC, including FPT IS. FPT IS is also one of the first to provide innovative technologies, namely timestamp and long-term authentication, to ensure complete authentication of electronic transactions.
The booths to provide free digital signatures open on Saturdays and Sundays at the walking street around Hoan Kiem lake until the end of 2023. Besides providing free digital signatures at the booth, FPT IS also deploys mobile counters in wards and communes in Hanoi. People can actively download the FPT-CA MPKI app from the App Store or Google Play to create personal digital signature.
