FPT IS licensed for remote digital signing technology – a trend inevitable in the digital era
Recently, the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam has officially licensed FPT Information System Co., Ltd (FPT IS) to provide public digital signature authentication service under a remote digital signing model with a trade name of FPT.eSign, affirming FPT IS’s capability and experience after more than 10 years of operation in this area.
The remote digital signing service, FPT.eSign, has fully met the legality and security requirements of European eIDAS standards, therefore has been seen as the ideal choice for electronic transactions in Banking-Finance, Insurance, Securities, Public Finance (Customs, Tax, Treasury, etc.) sectors. With FPT.eSign, the need for physical devices such as USB tokens, SIMs, Smart cards is eliminated, users can sign tens of thousands of documents at the same time right away on laptops, smartphones or tablets.
FPT IS has been licensed to provide public digital signature authentication service under remote digital signing model since December 2021.
FPT IS has provided public digital signature authentication service in Vietnam since 2010 and researched on remote digital signing solution since 2018. Since August 2021, FPT IS has been granted an international certificate by Tayllorcox for remote digital signing service, then officially licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam to provide public digital signature authentication service under remote digital signing model since December 2021. Currently in the market, there have been more than 20 organizations providing public digital signature authentication service, however, only 4 of them have been licensed by the Ministry for remote digital signing model.
Remote digital signing is forecasted to explode in Vietnam in the coming time, along with the development of e-commerce, digital banking, online transaction, etc. “In the field of digital signature, integrating digital signature into dedicated IT systems is the biggest challenge that enterprises are facing. With the current resources and capability, we believe that FPT IS will carry on promoting the integration of digital signature into IT systems to make remote digital signing more effective in digital transactions,” said Mr. Nguyen Thien Nghia, Deputy Director General of the National Electronic Authentication Center, Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam.

Responding to the expectation of the representative of the Ministry, on behalf of FPT IS, Chairman Duong Dung Trieu expresses his commitment to leverage the best technologies and resources to ensure a secure, legally binding and reliable digital signature system for the users.
