FPT IS met and discussed potential opportunities with the Canadian ICT Business Delegation
On the afternoon of March 29, the ICT Business Delegation of the Canadian Trade Delegation accompanying Canadian Minister of Economic Development, International Trade and Export Promotion Mary Ng visited the FPT IS office in Ho Chi Minh City. The purpose of the visit is to research Vietnam’s business market to create a forum for information sharing and exploring potential of technological collaboration with FPT in Vietnam and globally.
On March 29, the ICT Business Delegation of the Canadian Trade Delegation visited the FPT IS office in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Phan Thanh Son – Chief Business Development Officer and Director of Business Consulting & Integrated Solutions Center welcomed the delegation and shared: “Digital transformation and green transformation must be implemented together; in isolation they cannot effectively benefit from shared technological platforms and applications such as data analysis, AI, or IoT. This is an important goal that FPT is pursuing, particularly in light of the commitment of the Vietnamese government and the international community at COP26 to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.”
Mr. Phan Thanh Son – Chief Business Development Officer and Director of Business Consulting & Integrated Solutions Center welcomed the delegation and spoke about the establishment and and operating model of FPT Corporation in general and FPT IS in particular.
To support the country’s development, FPT IS also emphasized its desire to learn from foreign companies about solutions and products to apply advanced technology, particularly from Canada, one of the world’s leading information technology powers.
Following FPT’s presentation, Mr. Joseph Bondi, a representative of Ni2, a software company that specializes in OSS/BSS-integrated Digital Asset Inventory Management solutions, talked about the business model and potential for cooperation in the technology industry. He shared: “The interesting mix of products and services that FPT offers really impresses me. This is a great opportunity to grow globally.”
In addition, representatives from Illuminalabs, Senstar, Soti, Secure City Solutions, Sarafin AI and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Vietnam also discussed possible avenues for technological collaboration. Although not directly attending the meeting, BlackBerry also had an online discussion with representatives of FPT Canada and FPT Government Sector about the potential application of BlackBerry’s security solutions in the public sector.
Secure City Solutions contacted FPT Education through FPT IS after the meeting to explore the Marvel Technology internship program and various employment opportunities in Canada for AI/Semiconductor students.
