FPT IS operates ERP/EAM system for the Electricity generation company of Bangladesh (EGCB)

At 12 pm on 11 September in Vietnam time zone, FPT IS implemented the ERP/EAM software deployment and supplement project for Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB) to officially go-live in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

After the time on site deployed in Bangladesh, FPT IS has been providing and implementing ERP/EAM software for its Office headquarters and 3 EGCB factories with all the following subsystem: Financial Management (FICO), Human Resources (HCM), Factory Maintenance Management (PM, PP), Project Management (PS), Purchasing and Stocks Management (MM), Integration of Timekeeping systems and DCS systems in factories.

FPT IS carries out the go-live ceremony of ERP/EAM software Deployment and Supplement project for Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB)

The Senior Board of EGCB witnesses the go-live ceremony along with the entire project team members from both sides. EGCB Board of Directors and leaders from all the factories express their delight at the project result. EGCB General Director, Mr Arun Kumar Saha addressing at the program that: “ERP/EAM system for EGCB go-live ceremony is not only the company’s big event but also for the Bangladesh energy industry. We believe with FPT IS’s help, the system will be brought into successful operations, helping EGCB with better enterprise administration.

EGCB is evaluated to be a complex project with a high professional demand for the thermal power generation. Successfully deployed project will be the foundation for the expanding deployment of all 14 members power companies directly under the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB).

Mr. Vu Duc Son – Project Management said the successful implementation of this project enhances FPT IS’s credibility and capacity and will open many opportunities for FPT IS in South Asia market. In the process of implementing the project, the project team has welcomed many companies in the same field to learn from their experiences.

After the go-live, the project team will continue to support onsite for customers until the end of December for the go-live support period then transfer to the 1-year project warranty period in 2020.

FPT IS implemented an 8.8 million USD “ERP/EAM software Deployment and Supplement project” for the Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB) from March 2017. This is the first project to be under Bangladesh’s modernization plan for the funded energy industry by the World Bank and FPT IS’s second project in the field of Utilities (Electricity-Water-Gasoline) in the country.

Before that, FPT IS continuously implements 3 major projects at Bangladesh including BITAX (The Bangladesh Income Tax Integration System), IVAS (Integrated Vat Administration System), GTCL (ERP system for Gas Transmission Company in Bangladesh).
