FPT IS provides identity verification technology and online exam platform for the 2024 Thinking skills assessment exam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology
On December 3, 2023, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) holds the first Thinking skills assessment exam of the 2024 admission season. The Khaothi.Online platform, developed by FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS), continues to be used in this exam for 16 assessment sites in 9 provinces/cities across the country with nearly 3,000 students participating in the initial session.
At assessment sites, students can check in to the assessment rooms in a quick and convenient way with the Anti-fraud solution for digital identity verification (FPT.IDCheck) and Chip-based ID card reader (FPT.IDReader), both developed by FPT IS. Following positive results from 2023, FPT.IDCheck and FPT.IDReader, the solutions to support automatic “check-in” using ID cards combined with the personal data management system on the basis of the National Population Data Centre, allow to accurately identify students and eliminate the situation of taking the assessment on behalf of the other. The verification process takes only 20 seconds per student, simplifying procedures to enter assessment rooms while increasing transparency and fairness for students.

Besides, organizing the Thinking skills assessment exam to evaluate university admission applications on the Khaothi.Online platform is deemed to better facilitate the students during the assessment process. Instead of organizing the assessment in a paper-based format, the entire processes including developing assessment questions, planning, organizing the assessment, administering the assessment, verifying students, and marking the assessment are all done on a single and consistent platform. More than 30 universities in Vietnam will use the assessment results for evaluating admission applications in 2024.
This is the initial session in a total of six sessions of the Thinking skills assessment for the 2024 admission season of Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The remaining sessions will be held on January 20-21, 2024; March 9-10, 2024; April 27-28, 2024; June 8-9, 2024; and June 15-16, 2024 at the following assessment sites: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang.
