FPT IS receives Certificate of Merit from the Vietnamese Minister of Information and Communications for its achievements at the ASEAN Digital Awards 2024
Recently, FPT IS was awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Vietnamese Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, for its outstanding achievements in winning the ASEAN Digital Awards 2024 (ADA), one of the largest and most prestigious international awards in the ICT sector of both the ASEAN and Asia – Pacific regions.
FPT IS Company Limited (formerly FPT Information System Company Limited) receives the Certificate of Merit from the Vietnamese Minister of Information and Communications Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung for its achievements at the ASEAN Digital Awards 2024 (ADA)
In February 2024, FPT IS’s online learning platform, VioEdu, won the Silver medal in the Digital Content category at ADA. With 2 Gold and 2 Silver medals, VioEdu and 3 other products made Vietnam the best performer at this year’s Awards, bringing pride to the country in general and the Information and Communications industry in particular.
VioEdu representative received the Award within the framework of the 4th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting in Singapore in February 2024.
Strongly supported and accompanied by leaders and officers of the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications, VioEdu successively passed the Preliminary Round, Domestic Evaluation Round, International Council Preliminary Round and finally entered the Presentation Round in Singapore. The 18 nominations qualified for the Presentation Round were divided equally into 6 categories, including Digital Inclusivity, Public Sector, Digital Content, Digital Innovation, Digital Start-up, and Private Sector.
The English presentation of each nomination was evaluated and scored based on various strict criteria by a jury of experts representing 10 ASEAN countries and 3 guest countries: Japan, China, and Korea. VioEdu impressed 13 judges thanks to its high-quality digital content with more than 1 million learning materials, innovative approach and strong infrastructure capacity, capable of serving more than 200,000 concurrent users.
Besides, the product team has proven its high applicability through magnificent indicators of growth and user preference since its launch at the end of 2019. It is estimated that, on average, one in three students in Vietnam knows and uses VioEdu. Tens of thousands of schools from more than 40 provinces and cities in Vietnam have been using VioEdu’s learning materials and platform to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
The Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Information and Communications will motivate FPT IS to continue its efforts in creating “Make in Vietnam” solutions, aiding in the development of Digital Government, Digital Economy, and Digital Society of Vietnam, as well as effectively serving key areas of numerous countries around the globe. The Minister’s Certificate of Merit also makes FPT IS’s 30th anniversary (1994 – 2024) more meaningful for the company.
