FPT IS signs cooperation agreement with Lao’s Best Telecom Company
During the visit of Lao’s Minister of Technology and Communications to Vietnam, on the afternoon of June 10, 2022, the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) and Lao’s Best Telecom Company takes place at the Office of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam. The signing ceremony is attended by Vietnam’s Minister of Information and Communications Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, and Lao’s Minister of Technology and Communications Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara.
Accordingly, FPT IS will establish a strategic partnership with Best Telecom to cooperate in research, building, and development of a number of IT projects in Laos in the coming future. Best Telecom is a telecommunications company under AIF Group, one of the largest multi-industry groups in Laos operating in different fields such as mining, precious metals, banking, telecommunications, logistics, etc.
Best Telecom is seeking partners with in-depth consulting and implementation experience in the fields of telecommunications and e-government to promote IT adoption and digital transformation activities in Laos. These are exactly FPT IS’ competitive advantages in Vietnam as well as in Laos.

The signing of cooperation agreement with Best Telecom, which takes place during the visit and working trip of Lao’s Minister of Technology and Communications with Vietnamese counterpart, is a great honor for FPT IS, opening up new business and development opportunities for the Company in Laos.
FPT IS has established its representative office in Lao People’s Democratic Republic in 2010. Since then, FPT IS has been developing its reputation via a large number of IT projects with organizations and enterprises in different sectors including telecommunications, government and banking in Laos, such as Lao Telecommunication Public Company, Unite, ETL, T-plus, BCEL, LaoViet Bank, ST Bank, Indochinabank, General Department of Taxation of Laos, Électricité du Laos (EDL), etc.
The cooperation agreement between FPT IS and Best Telecom is expected to open up new projects between the two companies in the fields of IT adoption and digital transformation.
Also at the event, Vietnam’s Minister of Information and Communications and Lao’s Minister of Technology and Communications have also witnessed the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the postal field between Vietnam Post Corporation and Lao Post.
