FPT IS upgrades the overall management software for the Central Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital
On the morning of January 31, FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS) and the Central Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital held a launching ceremony for the project “Providing services to renovate, upgrade, and expand overall management software” sponsored by Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank). After the project is completed, the Central Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital will be one of the first central hospitals to deploy the Electronic Medical Record system – FPT.EMR.
The Central Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital is the first central hospital to employ FPT.EMR. In 2013, the medical facility chose FPT IS as the implementer of the Hospital Management System – FPT.eHospital – to optimize its medical examination/treatment process. The implementation of the FPT.EMR system marks an important step forward for the hospital in the context of the Vietnamese health sector boosting digital transformation, aiming to improve the quality of health care for people and the efficiency of medical information management.
The new system at the Central Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital is expected to enhance the quality of health care for people and the efficiency of medical information management.
Besides FPT.EMR, FPT IS will also upgrade the FPT.eHospital system to ensure compatibility and connectivity between software and systems, and deploy connection modules to optimize working processes between departments, thereby increasing flexibility in the use and sharing of data. Additionally, the new system will enable hassle-free cashless hospital fee payments, shortening patients’ waiting times and improving their experience.
After the project is finished, the Central Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital plans to reach level 6 in IT application according to Circular 54 of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. The project includes 53 modules on Hospital Management, Connection Integration, Administration, Electronic Medical Records, Advanced Management (prescription on tablets, smart hospital fee payment, smart Kiosk…). The new system is expected to fully meet the current regulations of the Ministry of Health and Social Insurance of Vietnam, including Decision No. 130/QD-BYT which stipulates output data standards and formats for the management, assessment, and payment of medical examination and treatment costs, and settlement of related regimes.
