FPT joins Dong Nai in the digital transformation of the healthcare sector

On the morning of April 25, FPT participated in the Dong Nai Province Department of Health’s 2024 digital transformation conference of the healthcare sector as the diamond sponsor. Through the technical exhibitions and seminar presentations, FPT highlighted its products and solutions in the digital transformation of the healthcare sector.

Provincial and Department of Health leaders, as well as representatives from various departments and health units in the southern region, attended the event. The participants representing FPT were: Mr. Pham Thanh Tung, Director of Healthcare Sector, FPT IS; Mr. Nguyen Duy Hien, Deputy Director of Healthcare Sector, FPT IS; Mr. Bui Minh Tien, Director of FPT Smart Cloud’s Business Center; and Mr. Truong Van Quang, FPT Smart Cloud’s Cloud data security and safety solution consultant.

Director of the Department of Health Le Quang Trung stated that medical digital transformation involves utilizing digital technology to transform the model and manner in which medical services are provided while concentrating on helping patients. Medical data, which was previously underutilized, is now a valuable resource that will change the way that healthcare is provided compared to previous periods. Digital healthcare can solve the problem of personalized health care for everyone, anywhere, at any time. The grandest desire of humanity can come true, thanks to digital transformation in healthcare.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Son Hung highlighted positive results in the first phase of the healthcare sector’s digital transformation. The Dong Nai healthcare sector will increase its use of information technology in the near future, encourage the adoption of digital transformation objectives, enhance the digitalization and automation of medical examination and treatment activities, manage medical records, streamline administrative processes, and reduce patient wait times.

In line with the conference’s objective, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hien, Deputy Director of Healthcare Sector, FPT IS, proposed employing the “Digital Healthcare Ecosystem – Platform for creating a Digital Healthcare database” to address the issue of digital transformation in the healthcare sector.

“FPT is prepared to work with the province of Dong Nai Province Department of Health to develop technical standards for hospital information technology systems. This helps standardize data, medical records, and electronic records. Following that, patients will receive faster and better medical examinations and treatments” – the FPT IS representative shared.

Mr. Hien believes that even though many hospitals have accepted the use of electronic medical records (EMR), when medical records are transferred to other facilities, the information in the EMR frequently cannot be used again. The primary cause is that the EMR’s data fails to fully conform to international EMR standards. This hinders the exchange of information and the development of an interconnected digital health system. In order to address this issue, the FPT.EMR system was created to satisfy both national and international standards, facilitating the sharing and utilization of medical record data.

Speaking during the conference’s second session, Mr. Truong Van Quang, FPT Smart Cloud’s Cloud data security and safety solution consultant, discussed medical data security in the face of challenges and risks associated with operating current information technology systems. Given this, Mr. Quang emphasized once more on the importance of implementing information security measures to ensure the security and privacy of medical data. This fosters a trustworthy environment for utilizing digital health services and gives patients more security when disclosing personal information.

Participating in the event, FPT also demonstrated its smart healthcare ecosystem, including digital healthcare solutions and operational excellence supporting both treatment and administration. At the exhibition area of the conference, FPT’s team of experts introduced many guests to solutions such as: Medical data warehouse, smart hospital management system – FPT.eHospital 2.0, electronic medical record management system – FPT.EMR, FPT.AI, FPT.Cloud that help standardize data and optimize health care processes, minimize errors in medical examination and treatment, and safely store medical record information in a confidential manner.
