FPT partners with TBM – Japan’s leading green-tech startup
As the global race to fulfill Net Zero commitments intensifies, green transformation has become a strategic imperative for businesses worldwide. Seizing this momentum, FPT has entered into a strategic partnership with TBM, a pioneering green-tech startup from Japan, to jointly promote impactful sustainability initiatives. The collaboration focuses on leveraging advanced emissions reduction technologies and sustainable materials to accelerate the transition toward a circular economy and a greener future.
Under the newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, FPT and TBM will jointly introduce their flagship solutions to organizations seeking to advance their green agendas. These include FPT’s VertZéro – Carbon accounting software – and LIMEX, an innovative sustainable material developed by TBM. By combining cutting-edge digital technologies with environmentally friendly materials, the partnership not only opens new opportunities for business synergy but also delivers meaningful solutions to the market’s growing sustainability challenges.

Amid growing global pressure to cut emissions, Vietnam and Japan are among the 145 nations committed to achieving Net Zero by 2050, as pledged at COP26. Achieving this goal requires organizations and businesses to take the right steps from the outset, most notably, by integrating sustainable materials and digital technologies into their operations for effective emissions management.
In this context, LIMEX – a breakthrough material developed by Japanese green-tech startup TBM offers a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic and paper. Made from limestone, LIMEX significantly reduces the use of petroleum-based plastics and lowers greenhouse gas emissions at the source, particularly in manufacturing and supply chain processes. The material is already trusted by more than 10,000 businesses and organizations worldwide.
Complementing this is VertZéro, an automated carbon accounting software developed by FPT. The solution enables organizations to conduct emissions inventories in line with international sustainability standards such as the IPCC, GHG Protocol, and ISO 14067/14064. By identifying carbon hotspots and enabling data-driven decarbonization strategies, VertZéro empowers businesses to reduce emissions effectively and systematically.
Mr. Tran Đuc Tri Quang, Executive Vice President and Chief Data Officer of FPT IS, FPT Corporation shared: “At FPT, we are steadfast in pursuing our strategic vision of ‘AI – Semiconductor – Automotive – Digital – Green’. ‘Green’ is not just a target—it is a firm commitment to action. We aim to achieve Net Zero by 2040 through a comprehensive internal green transformation, while also pioneering emission management platforms like VertZéro to help businesses measure and reduce their emissions effectively.”

Mr. Quang emphasized that the partnership with TBM marks a significant step forward, reflecting a shared vision for sustainable development. It lays a strong foundation for knowledge exchange, fosters innovation, and supports the global business community on its green transformation journey toward a circular, low-emission economy.
Founded in 2011, TBM is a leading green-tech unicorn in Japan, renowned for developing LIMEX – a sustainable material made primarily from limestone that can replace traditional plastic and paper. With a mission to “create breakthroughs for a sustainable future,” TBM is committed to reducing the extraction of finite natural resources and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions at the source.
LIMEX is now trusted by over 10,000 businesses and organizations in Japan and globally. The company holds more than 250 patents across over 50 countries and has been recognized at major international forums such as COP and the G20.
