FPT partners with Vinacomin to build a data warehouse and intelligent reporting system
Recently, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV – Vinacomin) and FPT have officially launched a project to deploy a data warehouse and intelligent reporting system for TKV.
Project kick-off ceremony for the construction of a data warehouse and intelligent reporting system
With 30 years of development, Vinacomin has become a leading group in the coal industry, mineral-metallurgical industry, power industry, and industrial explosives. This project aims to build a centralized data warehouse (DWH) from data sources collected from member units, with a scale encompassing 27 dependent accounting companies, 30 joint-stock companies, 3 one-member limited liability companies, and the development of 62 operational management reports, designed for the Group’s leadership and 6 functional departments.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trong Tuyen – Deputy Head of the Science, Information Technology and Development Strategy Board shared: “This is a key project of the Group, with users being the Group’s leaders and functional departments directly exploiting data to manage production and business. Vinacomin is committed to allocating the most experienced resources to cooperate with the FPT project team in order to implement the project effectively, qualitatively, and on schedule.” Representing FPT, Mr. Le Duc Anh – Deputy Software Delivery Director of Enterprise Sector also pledged to prioritize maximum resources for the project, determined to bring the project to completion on time and soon bring practical value to customers.
At the launch ceremony, Mr. Nghiem Van Dung, FPT Project Manager, presented detailed information about the project’s scope and plan. Accordingly, FPT will implement the following items: Equipping commercial software licenses for Tableau BI; Developing an internal software system for operational reporting on Tableau BI software; and Deploying the construction of an intelligent reporting system. According to the plan, the project will be implemented within 4 months. In the initial phase, the project team will conduct surveys, analysis, design, and system construction.
The project aims to enhance efficiency and standardize processes in Vinacomin’s operations.
By constructing a data warehouse and intelligent reporting system, Vinacomin will establish an intuitive, multi-dimensional reporting system to support management and operations through data standardization. Additionally, data sharing among employees and internal units will become quicker and more convenient, thereby improving efficiency and standardizing operational processes within the enterprise.”
