FPT showcases modern technology ecosystem at the 80th Anniversary of Vietnam’s Tax Sector
Hanoi, September 8, 2025 – The General Department of Taxation today hosted a program celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Tax Sector (September 10, 1945 – September 10, 2025), featuring a seminar and a Digital Transformation Fair with a wide range of innovative digital solutions. As a trusted technology partner of the Tax sector for more than 30 years, FPT was honored to present its comprehensive ecosystem of advanced technology solutions at the event.
The Digital Transformation Fair was organized to mark eight decades of development of the Tax sector and to create a platform for showcasing cutting-edge technology solutions that enhance tax administration. Beyond commemorating the proud history of the Tax sector, the event reaffirmed its commitment to innovation and digital transformation – modernizing operations, improving efficiency, and better serving both citizens and businesses in Vietnam’s socio-economic development journey.
Digital Transformation Fair Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of Vietnam’s Tax Sector
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mai Son, Deputy General Director of the General Department of Taxation, emphasized that the sector’s digital transformation strategy for 2025–2030 builds upon over three decades of IT development. Today, tax administration systems are comprehensively deployed nationwide across all functions, from registration and filing to tax payment, compliance management, and taxpayer support.
“The nationwide implementation of e-tax services and e-invoicing systems reflects the Party, State, and Ministry of Finance’s strategic directions to accelerate administrative reform, reduce compliance costs for taxpayers, and achieve major breakthroughs in tax administration. This year’s Digital Transformation Fair demonstrates the sector’s strong determination in this mission,” Mr. Mai Son noted.

Over the past years, the Tax sector has embraced technologies such as AI, Big Data, and chatbots, reinforcing its image as a professional, transparent, and innovative agency. However, with growing demands for revenue collection, expanding taxpayer bases, and challenges posed by the digital economy and cross-border e-commerce, digital transformation is seen as the key driver to reshape processes, strengthen integration, and place citizens at the center of tax services.
FPT brings pioneering solutions to support Tax modernization
At the fair, a wide range of IT applications for tax management and taxpayer support were on display, reflecting early achievements in the sector’s digital journey. Among them, FPT showcased a representative ecosystem of “Made by FPT” solutions that have long accompanied the Tax sector in its modernization efforts.

Three decades of partnership in Tax sector digital transformation
Today’s milestone also stands as testimony to FPT’s long-term partnership with the Tax sector. Since 1995, the Tax sector has pioneered the application of information technology, paving the way for modernization, automation, and transparency in tax administration. From the very beginning, FPT was honored to contribute to the development of foundational technology systems that shaped the sector’s efficiency and modern image. For more than three decades, FPT has remained a trusted technology partner, working side by side with the Tax sector in its digital transformation journey. The company has played a key role in building and developing over 20 core IT systems – from the earliest informatization initiatives to today’s centralized management platforms and large-scale national data infrastructures. These systems, including multi-tax management platforms and the personal income tax system, have significantly advanced the modernization of tax administration, enabling effective big data utilization, enhancing transparency, and meeting the increasingly high demands outlined in the Government’s resolutions on digital infrastructure, digital government, and the digital economy.
These IT systems currently serve more than 90 million taxpayers, 1.3 million enterprises, and 40,000 tax officials nationwide every day. In 2025, FPT, together with the Digital Transformation Committee and leading technology experts, supported the migration of the Tax sector’s largest Data Center – housing over 1,000 servers and storage systems (equivalent to more than 1,600 virtualized servers), hundreds of network and security devices, and operating the sector’s entire centralized IT system. This includes 85 operational applications, of which 55 mission-critical applications must run continuously, along with approximately 50 supporting systems. The project stands among the largest and most complex initiatives accompanying the Tax sector in the digital era.
Also in 2025, ahead of the nation’s major milestone on July 1, FPT partnered with the Tax sector to rapidly implement critical IT systems under the new two-tier government model and to transition from tax identification numbers to personal identification numbers. These two pillars represent landmark reforms in the development of Vietnam’s e-Government and national digital finance system. To execute these missions, FPT worked alongside the Tax Department’s Technology, Digital Transformation, and Automation Committee to upgrade a series of core IT systems, including centralized tax management, business registration, data integration and sharing, information analysis, and risk assessment.
In parallel with these key systems, FPT has built an ecosystem of more than 50 “Make in Vietnam – Made by FPT” solutions for both the Tax sector and enterprises. These include specialized solutions directly serving businesses and citizens in their interactions with the Tax sector, such as: FPT.eInvoice (e-invoice); BizNext (a free sales management application with integrated e-invoicing); FPT.ePIT (electronic personal income tax deduction management); FPT.CA (digital signature); FPT.TVAN (e-invoice transmission and archiving); FPT.eTax (e-tax services); and FPT Digital Accounting (automated invoice data extraction and management).
With a strong technology foundation and more than 30 years of partnership with the Tax sector, FPT has consistently demonstrated its ability to meet regulatory and strategic requirements. In alignment with Resolution 57-NQ/TW, the company reaffirms its commitment to continue working closely with the Ministry of Finance and the Tax sector in modernizing financial and tax administration, shaping a transparent and efficient Tax 4.0 system, laying the foundation for a modern, prosperous, and sustainable Vietnam.
