FPT signs cooperation agreements with leading Japanese corporations in human resource training, semiconductors, and Vietnam–Japan technology collaboration
As part of the official visit to Vietnam, Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Vietnam–Japan Cooperation Forum on High Technology, Green Transition, and Semiconductors held this afternoon. Present at the event, Mr. Truong Gia Binh – Chairman of FPT Corporation – shared insights on the strong and enduring cooperation between Vietnam and Japan. He emphasized: “We do not want Vietnam–Japan cooperation to be limited to business-to-business. We deeply wish to elevate it further by expanding cooperation to the intergovernmental level.”
At the event, FPT signed a series of strategic cooperation agreements with leading corporations, including Restar – a top technology group operating in countries such as Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Germany, and the United States; NISSO – a leading corporation providing high-quality workforce solutions in Japan; and MRIV – a top company in management consulting and market research, supporting sustainable development and innovation in Vietnam and the ASEAN region. These agreements not only mark progress in technology and workforce development aligned with Resolution 57-NQ/TW but also contribute to advancing economic diplomacy and technology diplomacy between Vietnam and Japan.

With Restar, FPT will collaborate on the research and development of semiconductor chips, aiming to distribute them across the Asia-Pacific region within the next three years. Restar is a leading technology corporation with a presence in multiple countries, including Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Germany, and the United States.
With NISSO and MRIV, FPT will coordinate to train highly qualified semiconductor engineers in Vietnam, ready to participate in major projects in Japan, directly contributing to Vietnam’s goal of developing 50,000 semiconductor professionals by 2030. Meanwhile, MRIV International is a top company in management consulting and market research, supporting sustainable development and innovation in Vietnam and the ASEAN region.
