High-level dialogue Vinasoy – FPT: Digital transformation towards quick win-win
Recently, senior leaders of Vietnam Soya Products Company (Vinasoy) have had a meeting with FPT Corporation at FPT Tower to study methodologies to develop IT systems towards promoting medium and long term business strategies.
Delivering an opening speech, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, says Vinasoy and FPT have something in common, namely, interest in smart business development, and in-depth understanding of the importance of distribution channels and consumers to a manufacturing company. Mr. Binh expects that after the dialogue, FPT will become Vinasoy’s official partner to accompany Vinasoy on the path to realize the goal of 1 billion USD in revenue by 2030, with quick-win solutions and digital utilities to help analyze consumer data, meanwhile develop efficient growth strategies for Vinasoy.

On behalf of Vinasoy, Mr. Vo Thanh Dang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company, says in the past 5 years, Vinasoy has set out goals and relevant solutions to realize the dream of 1 billion USD. “To achieve such amount by 2030, Vinasoy needs decent solutions, namely, smart people, smart technology towards optimizing quality and better serving the consumers. We expect today’s meeting will reach valuable conclusions regarding the above issues, helping FPT and Vinasoy to achieve quick win-win together”, emphasized Mr. Dang.
Vinasoy says the two sides have been cooperating in digital transformation for more than 5 years, and FPT has played a highly important role to help the company stand firm against fluctuations of the economy, especially during the COVID-19 period. Also at the dialogue, Vinasoy has brought up current issues and requirements regarding digital transformation in the current period, and expects FPT to come up with relevant solutions.

The solutions presented by FPT at the dialogue focus on corporate management and digital transformation systems. Especially, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Minh, CEO of FPT Information System Corporation (FPT IS), has presented on objectives and key results management system (OKR), a model which has been efficiently adopted across FPT Corporation. According to Mr. Minh, OKR focuses on setting objectives and delivering key results, rather than how to achieve the objectives. Successful implementation of OKR requires 3 factors. The first one is that objectives need to be thoroughly and consistently established from leaders to employees (FPT focuses on 3 factors when setting objectives, which are profit, performance, and innovation). The second one is determination (OKR practitioners at FPT need to face and overcome multiple challenges to help the company to achieve significant growth). The third one is transparency (leaders and employees can see each other’s OKRs, from objectives to results).
Besides OKR, FPT has also presented other management solutions such as financial management, business governance, customer management, creativeness and employee experience enhancement management, etc. along with experience in developing roadmaps and implementing digital initiatives.
The dialogue is expected to open up more cooperation projects between FPT and Vinasoy in the coming time.
Upon discussions at the dialogue, leaders of the two sides expect to open up more cooperation projects on digital transformation, consolidating competitive advantages with the power of technologies, helping Vinasoy optimize business governance, enhance employee experience, thereby delivering more and more practical values to consumers.
