Inauguration of the restoration and preservation project at the Central Office for South Vietnam historical site, applying Make in Vietnam – Made by FPT digitalization technology
On April 19, the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Province held the inauguration ceremony for the restoration and preservation project of key structures within the Special National Historic Site – the Central Office for South Vietnam. This project is one of nearly 80 major initiatives launched or completed simultaneously to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South Liberation and National Reunification. It also stands out as a model for IT application in line with Resolution NQ57-NQ/TW, incorporating digitalization technologies under the “Make in Vietnam – Made by FPT” initiative, implemented in collaboration with FPT Corporation.
Minister of Public Security, Luong Tam Quang, along with other delegates at the ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security; along with key figures such as Nguyen Thanh Tam, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Party Central Organization Commission; Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Justice; Nguyen Manh Hung, Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Hong Thanh, Acting Chairman of the Tay Ninh People’s Committee; and other leaders from various ministries, departments, and southern provincial police forces.
The restoration project was carried out with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency, focusing on refurbishing several structures, installing modern equipment, and introducing a breakthrough technological highlight: the Central Screening Room. This centerpiece integrates cutting-edge digital technology for artifact displays, historical documentary screenings, and 3D mapping projection using akaVerse – a solution developed under the “Made by FPT” label.
Through meticulous projection techniques, vivid films unfold heroic stories across a curved panorama wall, blended with dynamic effects on a static sandbox model. Visitors are taken on a powerful time-traveling journey through history, enriched by three immersive films showcased throughout the site. The technology not only helps recreate sacred spaces post-restoration but also brings to life significant events like the “Junction City” battle and deeply explores the formation, role, and strategic importance of the Central Office for South Vietnam, helping convey its rich cultural and historical value to the public.
FPT’s contribution, via its akaVerse platform, not only supports the preservation and honoring of national historical milestones but also introduces a fresh, interactive approach to heritage interpretation. Modern technology acts as a bridge between past and present, evoking national pride and attracting a wider audience—especially younger generations—to engage with and appreciate Vietnam’s golden chapters of history.
