This year’s Violympic once again saw participation from all corners of the country—from the capital Hanoi to remote areas such as Lai Chau, Son La, Lang Son, and Cao Bang. The active engagement of students from both urban and mountainous regions underscored the equity and accessibility offered by online education. No need for top-tier facilities or elite schools—just an internet-connected device was enough for students to train their minds and conquer knowledge.
Though unable to attend the ceremony in person, Chu Huong Giang—a student at Nam Nhun Town Primary School in Lai Chau—was thrilled to learn she had won a Silver Medal. It marked the first time a student from her school had earned a top prize at the national level. “I was surprised and very proud that my efforts were recognized. Thanks to the contest, I experienced a new way of learning, trained faster thinking, and learned not to give up on difficult questions,” Huong Giang shared.
Her mother, Ms. Le Thuy Duong, added: “Violympic is more than a competition—it’s a journey that helped my child become more independent, manage time, and apply technology effectively in learning. I’m truly happy that she reached her dream of winning at the national level and is now more confident in her abilities.”
Coming from an under-resourced school in a highland area, the young girl persevered through 10 rounds to achieve a proud accomplishment. At the year-end ceremony, the school’s Board of Management will present her medal and award on behalf of the organizers as a well-deserved recognition of her relentless efforts.
Nearly Two Decades of Supporting Digital Education
Launched in 2008, Violympic was designed as an enriching online intellectual playground for students nationwide, promoting proactive learning and technological curiosity among millions of students. Over the past 18 years, Violympic has constantly evolved to keep pace with educational digitalization, helping shape modern thinking and essential skills for Vietnam’s digital citizens.
The 2024–2025 school year marked the first time all Violympic exam content was fully aligned with the 2018 General Education Curriculum across all grade levels. Questions were compiled from three official textbook sets, ensuring fairness and equal access to knowledge. Moreover, contest formats and rules were continuously improved to enhance students’ online learning and testing experiences.
Notably, Violympic continued to make strides in organizing and monitoring, leveraging advanced online proctoring technology and activity tracking to ensure transparency, accuracy, and fairness in performance assessment.
As Vietnam’s education system undergoes a full-scale digital transformation in line with Resolution 57-NQ/TW by the Politburo, Violympic stands out for its successful integration of modern technology and education—empowering students to explore knowledge in a more flexible, creative, and proactive way. More than just a contest, it is a training ground for digital-age skills and learning capability.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Director of VioEdu Online Education System, FPT Corporation: “With nearly 20 years of experience and support for millions of students nationwide, Violympic has become a symbol of academic enthusiasm and the desire to conquer knowledge among Vietnamese students. It is not just a venue for academic competition, but a launchpad for digital competency—fostering logical thinking, self-learning, and problem-solving skills—core competencies for the digital citizen.”

The 2025 Violympic Awards Ceremony not only closed an academic year full of effort, but also opened the door to new journeys ahead for many of these young learners.
