Shinhan Life partners with FPT IS to deploy eKYC digital authentication solution
Shinhan Life Insurance Vietnam Limited Liability Company (Shinhan Life) has recently collaborated with FPT IS to implement the eKYC digital authentication solution. This initiative aims to modernize Shinhan Life’s customer identification and authentication process, thereby optimizing its operational and business activities.
By leveraging advanced technologies such as facial recognition, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, the eKYC solution is expected to increase accuracy and efficiency while minimizing the risk of fraud in Shinhan Life’s customer identification and authentication process.
At the project kick-off ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Head of IT Planning and Development at Shinhan Life, emphasized:“Integrating eKYC into Shinhan Life’s existing systems helps the Company ensure compliance with current insurance laws, while improving quality and user experience in digital authentication activities. Shinhan Life’s Board of Directors expects close coordination between the personnel of both parties to complete the project on schedule and with the desired quality.”

Before eKYC, several “Made by FPT IS” solutions had been trusted and selected by Shinhan Life, such as the Human Resources and Payroll Management System (FPT.iHRP), Business Trip Management Software (FPT.eBizTrip), Electronic Invoice Solution (FPT.eInvoice), and Online Training System (FPT.eLearning). These solutions aim for comprehensive digital transformation in the company’s operations and business processes, thereby enhancing its position in Vietnam’s insurance market.
Recognizing the market demand and the outstanding potential of eKYC solutions for the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) industry, FPT IS has pioneered in researching and developing eKYC solutions. In 2022, FPT IS successfully became the second enterprise in Southeast Asia to achieve the world’s leading certificate in Biometric Presentation Attack Detection – ISO/IEC 30107-3: 2017.
