TRA-SAS launches greenhouse gas inventory project with FPT, pioneering green transformation in logistics
As Vietnam commits to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, the logistics sector is under pressure to meet global environmental standards. In response, Tracimexco – Supply Chains and Agency Services J.S. Company (TRA-SAS) has partnered with FPT to roll out the VertZéro – carbon accounting software. This marks the start of TRA-SAS’s green transition and reinforces its pioneering role in the logistics industry, where businesses are proactively adopting emission tracking and building sustainable operational capacities in line with international standards.
FPT launches VertZéro carbon accounting software for TRA-SAS
FPT has begun deploying its VertZéro software for TRA-SAS—a modern technology solution designed to inventory Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by ISO 14064-1:2018 standards. In its initial phase, the VertZéro software will be rolled out company-wide across TRA-SAS’s operations to compile emission data for the base year 2024. This strategic move enables TRA-SAS to swiftly meet customer demands for emissions transparency while strengthening its competitive edge amid increasingly stringent environmental requirements in global supply chains.
A significant challenge facing logistics companies today is the seamless collection, standardization, and management of emission data across all operations—from transportation and warehousing to logistics services. In Vietnam, where road transport accounts for over 95% of freight-related emissions, the digitalization of emission inventories remains limited. VertZéro aims to bridge this gap by digitizing the entire process from calculation to reporting, helping businesses reduce resource costs and enhance transparency.
FPT’s VertZéro software is a comprehensive digital solution developed to help Vietnamese enterprises conduct accurate, automated emission inventories aligned with international standards. Already adopted by several major manufacturers, the platform is expanding into the transport and logistics sectors under growing pressure to decarbonize.
The project officially launched on May 26, 2025, and is expected to conclude by July 2025. FPT’s expert team will work closely with TRA-SAS’s technical department to standardize inventory processes, train personnel, and establish a long-term emissions data system during this period. More importantly, this initiative lays the groundwork for TRA-SAS to enhance ESG reporting capabilities, secure access to green financing, and comply with strict environmental expectations from international partners in logistics.

At the event, Mr. Tran Viet Huy, Chief Executive Officer of TRA-SAS, emphasized: “Emissions inventory and transparency are no longer optional—they are mandatory requirements for any business aiming to deeply integrate with global supply chains. We chose FPT and VertZéro not only for the cutting-edge technology but also for the experienced team that truly understands the logistics sector. This project helps us meet regulatory requirements and lays a critical foundation for our long-term sustainable development strategy.”
Mr. Pham Tuan, co-founder of VertZéro, added: “We highly appreciate TRA-SAS’s strategic vision in proactively embracing green transformation and staying ahead of the global logistics trend. With VertZéro, FPT is committed to accompanying TRA-SAS in building a transparent, efficient emissions inventory system that serves as a platform for sustainable growth.”
The greenhouse gas inventory project launch at TRA-SAS marks a significant milestone in contributing to Vietnam’s journey toward achieving its Net Zero commitment by 2050. Through this collaboration with FPT, TRA-SAS reaffirms its position as a modern logistics enterprise that prioritizes operational efficiency and sustainability as a core strategic direction. The project delivers internal value and helps catalyze the broader green transition across the transport and logistics sector, which the government has identified as one of 18 key areas in the National Green Growth Strategy through 2030.
