Transportation and Healthcare solutions by FPT IS win Vietnam Smart City Award 2021
On the morning of December 18 at FPT Tower, the Traffic enforcement system (FPT.iPect) and Health information exchange (FPT.HIE) by FPT Information System Co., Ltd. (FPT IS) have won the Vietnam Smart City Award 2021 in the field of Transportation and Healthcare, continuing to strongly affirming the capability of the company.
Accordingly, FPT.iPect and FPT.HIE have won in the category of Digital solutions for smart cities. Especially, FPT.iPect is among 8 solutions rated 5 stars at this year’s competition and is the only 5-star solution in the field of Smart Transportation.

Adopting advanced 4.0 technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, etc., FPT.iPect has become an effective “assistant” in multiple provinces/cities, allowing to automatically handle violations such as running red lights, driving in the wrong road section/lane, stopping/parking against regulations, driving into no-entry roads, wrong-way driving, etc., significantly improving traffic order and safety, aiming towards building a smart and advanced transportation system.
Besides, as a platform to connect and exchange information between systems and applications in healthcare sector, FPT.HIE helps provinces/cities create and standardize electronic health record databases, gradually forming a healthcare data warehouse for management and administration. The system also contributes to creating a digital interactive environment for the people during the medical examination, treatment and healthcare. FPT.HIE offers to resolve at least two current major issues of healthcare sector, namely data and the platform for data connection and exchange, thereby promoting digital transformation in the sector.
FPT.HIE wins Vietnam Smart City Award 2021 in the category of Smart healthcare.
Previously, Smart transportation management & operation suite and Smart healthcare ecosystem, including FPT.iPect and FPT.HIE respectively, had won the Vietnam Smart City Award 2020. By continuously being honored for contributions in smart city construction, it has affirmed the quality of ”Made-by-FPT-IS” solutions, creating further motivation for the company to continue researching and grasping the latest trends to develop and upgrade products, meanwhile well perform its role as a strategic partner of the Government, local governments and stakeholders in smart city deployment, delivering additional values and benefits to the people and the society.
2021 is the 2nd year Vietnam Smart City Award is organized by Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA). This year, the Award receives 98 applications in 4 categories including: urban cities, real estate projects, industrial zones and digital solutions for smart cities. Undergoing 3 rounds of careful evaluation, 45 applications from 30 organizations and enterprises have been selected and honored at the Award ceremony held on the morning of December 18.
